As a child, I made frequent trips to the hospital due to recurring asthma attacks. Doctors talked about Albuterol, ADVAIR, and Symbicort doses to help treat my asthma, but I was clueless to their effect on my lungs. These visits developed my interest in drug function and efficacy. Growing up with a mom as a pharmacist, I was constantly exposed to medications and I became inquisitive of pharmacology. While volunteering at A********Medical Center in the General Surgery Unit, I realized the importance of patient interactions and envisioned myself as a medical doctor. At A****** College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (*CPHS) I believe I can develop a strong foundation in pharmaceutical sciences that can lead to proper diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions. I am determined to pursue a career in medicine and at *CPHS I can further my studies in order to achieve my goal as a physician.

I grew up as an Asthmatic. Hence, I was a familiar fixture at my Pulmonologist's office. This was where i often heard the terms Albuterol, ADVAIR, and Symbicort. Terms which were all familiar and understandable to my pharmacist mother, but left me confused and wondering about how it affected me. This was why I developed an interest in Pharmacology. As I volunteered at A*** Medical Center, I realized that pharmaceutical sciences were important in the treatment and cure of a patient, which further pushed me to learn more about drug interactions. Hoping that the knowledge I gain now can help me become a physician in the future.
