The piercing whistle of the train echoed my surrounding. There I was with my struggling grasp on an enormous rolling suitcase sprinting to the train plat form just in time. I leaped onto the train to Penn Station and running over a few innocent travelers in the process and sat and observed reflections of strangers from the window. Upon myself, I saw an innocent child looking back at me. I gave her a quick smile and turned away. I was alone then with an enormous suit case until the train made its final destination. As I sat on the train my excited nerves started to kick in
As I stepped out of Penn station I saw a line of taxi drivers waiting for a single to welcome their next customers. All students had to be at the resident house by three p.m and it was 2:40 pm. I looked overjoyed as I stepped into the taxi. When I arrived at the resident house at 2:58 pm, I thought that the doors would be locked and I wouldn't be able to check into my dorm. I arrived at the dorm house, the diver helped me unload my luggage and I looked at the building where I would spend the next week. I opened the door and the lobby was full of fashion lab students who would soon be with me for a whole week. I was excited when a dorm consular holding a sign that said LIM FASHION LAB announced to line up with ID and appropriate papers. After filling out and handing in papers I was given a key to my dorm.
Upon walking into my dorm, turning on the light I found 3 beds, 3 desks and 3 closets. I then realized that this would be where I would be living on my own for the next week with people from different states or different countries. I knew that this is where I would like to learn more about fashion.
