The essay ask that I answer the following questions: How I became interested in this career choice and If I have any work related experience.

"Ok, everyone look this way! Now, everyone say cheese on the count of three; one, two, and three." I shouted. There was always someone in the picture not smiling, whom had their eyes closed, or looking the wrong way. These minor glitches didn't take away from the fact that I loved taking photographs of people at all intervals of emotion. The moments captured are filled with joy and happiness or stricken with grief and sadness. Whatever the emotion, I believe the photograph tells a story that could be a key to help others in present day or in the near future. My interests not only lay with photography but with anatomy as well. Interestingly enough, it wasn't until the two paths crossed that I caught on to the possibility of a career in Ultrasound.

I sat anxiously waiting in the hospital waiting room. "Wendy", a voice called out. A young woman ushered me to the x-ray room while taking some time along the way to explain the procedure in short detail. She asked if I had any type of symptoms or if it was an annual mammogram. Unfortunately for me I had pain in my left breast. I told myself, no matter the diagnosis; I will find strength, courage, and a will I never knew I had to get me through. I also knew I too would have a story to share. Contrary to my fears my x-rays came back clean. The doctor suggested I have an ultrasound because of my complaint of breast pain. I thought something was terribly wrong. I never heard of getting an ultrasound to detect abnormalities such as breast cancer. I was intrigued by the picture produced on the screen. Equally gratifying was the ease and knowhow of the technician. She calmed my fears by taking the time to explain each sequence. It was right then and there, I wondered, "Do I want to become an ultrasound tech?" My answer, Yes! It is the perfect medium between two interests I hold so dear to me photography and anatomy.

It hit me; I can produce images while looking at internal organs and blood vessels. And with each experience I too can help men/women/children find strength and courage. I can make a significant difference in the patient's life by helping the doctor diagnose and cure patients. A career in Sonography can give me a sense of accomplishment and purpose at the end of each day. My passion only makes me pursue this dream even more.

... I'm not quite sure whether I understand what you mean by this sentence... But here is my suggestion..

Whatever the emotion may be, I believe that a photograph tell us a hidden story that could be a key to help others on anther day.

I like the way you write. It has a lot of emotion behind it. :)
