It's not yet finished....but how is it so far?
Any suggestions would be wonderful!
My heart sped up as I sprinted down the covered walkway. I gripped my schedule firmly as I passed by unrecognizable faces. "Where is my Human Dilemmas seminar?", I whispered to myself. I finally spotted the posted sign with my seminar group name. I felt relieved when my peer advisor came up to me. "Is there Fustok on the list?", I asked. "Yes," she replied. She checked my name off as if I was one item on a grocery list that was already taken care of. That was just the beginning of college for me and I knew figuring out what I wanted to do while I was there could not be easily taken care of.
Before I started my freshman year at college, people wondered what I was going to study when I arrived there. Even my parents pressed on about what I was going to study while in college. However, I was not worried that I did not have a specific course of study in mind.I just wanted to go off to college with an open mind. I was undecided about my future, but a liberal arts education helped me narrow down my interests to find an area of study I was interested in.
I am currently taking a Literary Studies course at Skidmore, which fuses my writing and research skills. Ever since high school, I have had this desire to write and know more about the world around me. Communication between the individual and society is a changing, important matter. While many teenagers watch television during their free time, I would rather research interesting stories as well as ideas and educate other people about them through writing. I enjoy the challenge of making people want to read what I write. It is good to educate people about things they would not normally learn or know about.I want to major in Communications...
