hello i am new to this forum and would be happy if you could provide any advise on this essay:
Virtually all of Stanford's undergraduates live on campus. What would you want your freshman roommate to know about you? Tell us something about you that will help your roommate -- and us -- know you better.
Having lived in three different countries before, my school experiences have been diverse. I feel that this has given me the adequate amount of preparation for the global and multicultural environment of Stanford. Through my experiences, I have become an adaptable person, who loves learning about new cultures. In the process of learning about new cultures and traditions, I end up making many friends. Friends being the building blocks of society are indispensible to me. Furthermore, I am sometimes looked at as a perfectionist. Though it does have positive and negative connotations, I would like to look at it as trying my best in everything I do.
My hobbies include creating collections, writing poetry, listening to music and photography. Apart from being an avid coin and stamp collector, throughout my time in different countries, I have also collected souvenirs that have made my experience meaningful in those places. I believe that keeping souvenirs makes experiences in life far more enriching and exciting. My main source of reflection is from the poetry that I write. I believe that poetry enables me to become more versatile, not only in my critical thinking but also in my writing. Music has always been a relaxing factor and I find it very interesting to listen to new music. Although, I have no previous experience in playing an instrument, I look forward to learn a new instrument at Stanford. However, I would like to think that I am a good singer. I am also very interested in photography, as I feel it gives me the power to capture a thousand words. Last but not least, i am a very optimistic person.
thank you very much.:)
