Hello everyone, I have finished writing my personal statement for a school application in France. There are several points that need to be included in this statement. Please kindly to check and review,

- Describe your academic interests and reasons for applying.
- Detail your career objectives and any relevant non -academic achievements as well as any publications
- Outline any other relevant experience including attendance at specialist workshops or short courses.
- In addition, a detailed curriculum of your bachelor program can be useful in appraising your background

My primary academic interest has been focused in technology management and business development. This interest shaped my career path to become an entrepreneur and establish my first Food and Beverage (F&B) venture, Ayam Goreng Sebrang, while studying Information Technology. Together with two co-founders and two staff members, I managed the operations without proper planning frameworks or structured risk evaluation. As the business grew, daily operational demands intensified and caused the vulnerability of our venture. This experience made me realize how systematic technology management, especially project planning and risk-based decision-making, could have stabilized our operations. It also drives me to deepen my knowledge through the Master of Management of Technology and Information Systems (MoTIS) at ESSEC Paris University, which would help me to build a scalable and technology-enabled food startup.

During my bachelor's studies, I explored the fundamentals of information systems, project management, and business process analysis, gaining theoretical and analytical tools that I directly applied to my venture. For example, principles from business process modeling helped me to design the outlet layout and map our operational flow, from procurement to food preparation and order fulfillment, to reduce unnecessary movement and shorten service time. My coursework in systems analysis also guided me in identifying bottlenecks in our daily operations, including inconsistent stock updates and undefined roles that affected our consistency of service. These academic foundations honed my skills to develop a more systematic business in operations. Besides, I assisted local micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the SiBakul Jogja community. Here, I mentored owners who struggled with basic task organization and inventory control. Introducing them to task and inventory management tools, such as Notion and Google Workspace required more than technical instruction. I had to translate concepts like task dependency, data visibility, and process standardization into practical workflows that suited small businesses with limited digital literacy. This experience taught me how crucial change management is when integrating technology into traditional business environments, a challenge I want to study more deeply through master's studies.

To strengthen my managerial capacity, I joined the BRIncubator program organized by a national bank. This program exposed me to CRM systems and IT strategy frameworks on a more professional level. We analyzed customer lifecycle models, mapped operational touchpoints, and tested digital solutions to streamline internal coordination. Afterwards, I implemented these tools in my own venture, helping reduce task delays by 30%. I then evaluated these processes that inefficiencies often stem from unclear processes rather than the absence of digital tools. This incubation also provided a strategic role of IT in scaling a business, not merely as a tool for automation, but as a foundation for data-driven decision-making. While my project management principles gave a solid foundation, I recognized that developing intelligent business requires a deeper comprehensive of methods for assessing risks, forecasting operational complexity, and aligning digital tools with organizational objectives.

Studying the Master of MoTis with a concentration in technology management is the best fit with my objectives. I am particularly drawn to the courses such as IS Project Management that strongly emphasis on agile methods and structured planning aligns with the coordination challenges I experienced in my F&B venture and while supporting local MSMEs. On the other hand, the Risk Management course would equip me with frameworks to anticipate and mitigate operational risks related to inventory, supply chain, SOP development, and financial constraints. The program offers ESSEC's project-based coursework and internship opportunities, where it would allow me to develop IT strategies directly within SMEs and startup environments.

Beyond studying, I would like to participate in ESSEC's entrepreneurial community, workshops, and innovation projects for SMEs. Learning from peers and professors will help me reinforce my contribution to the sustainability of Indonesian MSMEs. The international environment also presents an opportunity to practice my French fluency and collaborate within Paris's dynamic innovation ecosystem.

My first objective after completing two years of studies, I would like to work in France as an Innovation Project Specialist for 1-2 years to develop my expertise in technology management, project planning, and risk analysis. This role will enable me to design and implement technology-enabled operational frameworks that I will later be able to adapt for Indonesian MSMEs, including those in the SiBakul Jogja community. Also, I expect to expand my networks with business practitioners and startup founders, which may support future collaboration with Indonesia's Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs. These networks could later be invited to MSME incubator programs as facilitators or mentors, strengthening the bilateral relationships between Indonesia and France.

I also plan to scale my F&B venture in Yogyakarta into a more sustainable food startup. Currently, we operate one outlet with five local employees and have received a Creative and Empowerment award from the Bantul local government. After I have finished studies, my priority is to refine our operational workflow using IT tools, project management principles, and standardized SOPs to establish an autopilot business model. I hope to transform this approach into a replicable system that future foodpreneurs can adopt to run technology-enabled and well-managed F&B ventures. My long term goal is to build a consultancy firm that equips local entrepreneurs in Yogyakarta with IT-based strategies for business development. I envision myself contributing more in government programs and the SiBakul Jogja community as a mentor, providing training on digital business for the F&B sector.

Ultimately, I am confident that the MoTIS program at ESSEC Paris University is the most suitable platform to advance my academic and professional goals. By strengthening my capabilities in technology management, I aim to bring new perspectives to MSME development in Indonesia. I am committed to expanding my knowledge, network, and expertise as part of ESSEC's vibrant community.

The reviewer would much appreciate if you could connect your undergraduate history and work experience with the student qualifications for the masters course that you are applying to. When it was indicated that you give a detailed description, that meant you have to should show a clear connection between specific course offerings and your own academic and professional experiences. This would indicate a more credible preparedness on your part to undertake and complete the masters program. You may opt to indicate the difficulties you are facing theoretically and professionally, which will be addressed by completing this course through specific courses as well.

Avoid indicating that you will "work" for 2 years. You should reframe that to instead show that you are looking forward to "extending" the learning experience by entering "apprenticeship" or "immersion" experiences at various companies. This is to avoid a possible misconception that you may use the student visa as a stepping stone towards a residency permit or a work visa. Ensure that you clearly state that you will return to Indonesia after you complete the program and relevant training.
