It has been my dream of becoming an engineer because I love maths and physics and i am very good at both of it. But the problem is i did not know which field of enginnering that i am going to pursue. Then when i was in 9th grade, when i encountered chemistry in my studies, i believed that i were destined to become a chemical enginner. How chemicals are mixed to produce something new, the feeling of knowing what was inside the things that we used daily enlightened me. I am very passionate about how from a simple ingredients, they could transform/make something that we used in our daily lives. Then in my 10th grade, i started to watch tv programme that shows how things were made like food, drinks and others. This tv show called, 'How it's made' show us, the viewers on how everything are made, from the tiniest litte things like bottle cap and usb cable to speedboat and other stuffs. "Wow, that is so amazing", these 5 words keep running through my mind whenever i watched this tv programme. I also joined a programme that taught me how to make a wooden pen. I felt very lucky to be picked as one of the participants. They taught me everything, from choosing the right twig, how to craft the twig to become a pen shape and until the last step which was, how to insert the ink cartridge into the twig and sealed it. This experiences exemplifies the reason why i pick chemical engineer. Unlike any other enginnering field, chemical enginnering allow me to have wide knowledges about almost everything. It also offers variety of job from healthcare, design and construction to petrochemicals and food processing as a chemical enginner can find a niche in any engineering field.
