1. Why do you want to study at KUAS, and what do you want to learn while you are there?
2. What makes you qualified to study at KUAS?
3. How do you want to use what you will learn at KUAS in the future?
(300 words minimum, 350 words maximum*)
When I was little, unlike most girls, I really loved playing with toy cars. One of my favorite toys was an RC car my grandfather bought me. Strangely enough, when I played with this car, I was calmer and quieter. The reason was that I was fascinated by this object: how it moved, what was inside it; I often even took it apart. I didn't realize that this favorite toy was one of the reasons I chose engineering.
During high school, I actively participated in the robotics club, competed in robotics competitions, took part in olympiads, and even conducted research in engineering. One example was when I represented Indonesia at a science fair in Korea. Inspired by the problem of electricity distribution in Indonesia, my team and I decided to create an innovative energy harvester system. During the six months of research, I developed several skills, such as technical design skills using Autodesk Inventor and SolidWorks, and electrical measurement and instrumentation skills. Being the team leader also required me to hone my leadership skills. Through this research, I experienced being in both the mechanical and electrical fields simultaneously, reminding me of my childhood when I looked inside my toy cars. This enduring interest convinced me to pursue mechanical and electrical engineering. Additionally, I concluded this research by creating a prototype and presenting it successfully in Korea. Eventually, our research and efforts earned me a creative research nomination.
KUAS really caught my attention, especially its 13 pillars. This helped me explore various engineering fields, from robotics and energy to communications. The "stones" project at KUAS particularly appealed to me. Here, I could gradually developed into a good engineer, from identifying problems, designing solutions, and refining them through real-world applications. Furthermore, the environment of over 50 nationalities at KUAS will enrich my international experience.
After graduating from KUAS, I want to continue my higher studies in the same major and undertake many innovative, sustainable mechatronics projects. The knowledge I gained has been very meaningful to me and my childhood, helping to satisfy my curiosity and opening the door to new questions. In addition, I want KUAS to be a proof of my track record in becoming a global engineer and also being someone who has an impact on society in the technology field.
Hi, I really need criticism and suggestions for the following piece of my essay, thank you.
