The best way to reduce air pollution is for the government to raise the cost of petrol for cars.

Air pollution is one of the most threaten for environment around the world. Of course, developed countries have tried to avoid its progress rather than other countries. As far as I am concerned, raising the cost of petrol for cars cannot be the best way to decrease air pollution. Indeed, not only does it not make sense in order to control increasing air pollution, but also it does not grantee to reduce air pollution.

First reason that I disagree with the above statement is that expensive petrol alone cannot prevent from air pollution. For instance, in addition of cars, other pollutant resources like factories have an important role in air pollution. In this case, environment supporters and the governments should make essential rules in order to factories' owners filter factories' smokes from dangerous gasses. Or if they produce gaseous products they should pay more attention to their qualities to remain air safely.

Furthermore reason that I reject the above statement is that buying petrol with high expense does not inhibit people from using personal cars. For instance, there are a lot of rich people in the world that it is not important for them the worth of one liter of petrol. Also, these people use cars with high efficient engines to use petrol and cars' exhausts filter harmful gasses before emit them to the atmosphere
