Many people prefer a job with high salary. Although the salary is one of the important factors to a good job, history, however, proves that it is more important to find a fulfilling job. The example of Mother Teresa demonstrates that it is important to do work that one finds fulfilling than to work that pays well.
Mother Teresa got the sense of fulfilment when she was a volunteer. Mother Teresa chose to be a volunteer in the India because she thought that it was her duty as a Christian. When Mother Teresa was small, she showed good talents in writing. She had a dream to become a writer. However, because of the far-reaching influences of her mother and the God, she planned to be a volunteer in 18-year-old. She was in a dilemma. She was pondering the decision. She knew that it was an important decision. Eventually, she chose to be a volunteer. She did a great job in the India. She gained respect and won the Nobel Prize. She derived happiness from seeing the poor getting better and better. Even though she lived in poor conditions and had no salary, she was happy. Seeing the poor getting better was the motivation to her voluntary works. It made her life meaningful. The above example proves that fulfilling jobs can provide us a sense of achievement and it is important to find a fulfilling job than a well pay job.
The factor of sense of fulfillment is more important than the factor of salary. The example of Mother Teresa shows the sense of fulfilment is important than the salary. In the light of the above analysis, humankind must rethink the meanings of life and carefully choose their jobs.
