MANY MUSEUMS AND HISTORICAL SITES ARE MAINLY VISITED BY TOURISTS BUT NOT BY LOCAL PEOPLE.

Why is this the case and what can be done to attract more local people to visit these places?

In this state-of-the-art world, it can be seen that tourists have a predisposition to visit some of the sites involved historical themes, rather than residents living in these areas. There are several purposes for this phenomenon, but many remedial measures are also proposed simultaneously to tackle this issue.

The main reason why there are less engagements from the locals in neighborhood museums and heritage locations is owing to familiarity and monotony. Some people believe that they had sufficient certain basic grasps about history, which is not only taught from schools but also published in the press or on TV. Hence, they may show no interest and curiosity and not perceive these sites as intriguing or worthy of their time. Furthermore, the perception was held by citizens that these destinations are solely catering to outsiders, resulting in a lack of relevance and connection for the local community. This misconception often stems from the marketing strategies employed by such sites, emphasizing their appeal to trigger foreigners' absorption rather than highlighting their significance for native individuals, leading to failing to recognize the cultural and historical value they possess.

To address this problem, museums and cultural places should work towards bridging the gap between local people and their offerings. Firstly, organizing events and activities directly resonates with the interests and needs of residents. For instance, these historical locations can host themed exhibitions or workshops that present neighborhood history or showcase local artists. By displaying artifacts and stories that hold personal importance to the community, museums can evoke a sense of ownership and stimulate them. Secondly, enhancing the visitor experience through interactive and innovative methods with modern technology can help attract more people. Audio guides and mobile applications that provide detailed information on exhibits can also make exhibits livelier and improve the quality of contents imparted.

In conclusion, there are many reasons leading to the decrease of the quantity of the locals paying a visit to museums or cultural areas. However, by taking these solutions above, organizations can heighten awareness of people of recognize these values.

The writer's opinion could have used a clearer reference to the questions being asked instead of merely repeating the discussion instructions. Points are not normally awarded in the preliminary section when no clear opinion + thesis statement is created. You have to make sure that you respond to the questions being asked in short form to gain scores in that section.

Now, I will commend you on being able to write an intelligent discussion essay. However, you failed to remember that you have only 40 minutes to write the paper. You cannot write almost 400 words during the actual test. Not if you also plan on doing revising and editing of your content to gain a higher overall score. You need to focus on content quality instead of word count. Nobody ever passed the test based on word count alone. It is the quality of the writing that proves your preparedness for overseas college, not an overwritten essay.
