In many countries, the proportion of older people is increasing. Could this trend have more positive than negative effects on society?

In present-day society, there is an increase in the proportion of elderly due to the improved healthcare.Well equipped medical facility extends a person's live, however, the rising number of senior citizens have more negative effects on the society.

It is universally acknowledged that the growth in the proportion of senior citizens brings burden on the governments. In many countries, governments need to spend more money on healthcare system due to the rising needs. Sometimes, this may causes the governments put in less efforts on education or other areas as dozens of money is required on the infrastructure and "old homes". Furthermore, elderly tend to receive pensions every month in many countries. This will causes the young workers feel dissatisfied and strike which lead further financial problems to the governments.

An upward trend of the proportion of elderly brings burden on families too. When there is less youth in a family, the stress level will be increased as he or she have heavy responsibility. In addition, while families have more elderly to care for, less resources will be given to their children. Besides this, countries's work force will be decreased, thus many countries face financial crisis and working adults need to pay more and more taxes until they have enough trouble paying their own basic needs. Further, the age of retirement will extend a few years more.

To sum up, aging population is an unchangeable trend in contemporary society, thus it is essential for the governments to pinpoint the effective remedies.

THANK YOU!

Essay is shirt and few points are still lacking for your support. The sentence below is not proper logical, as how young became dissatisfied with old ones if they got pension because the young should not to bear the expenses but the government.

Furthermore, elderly tend to receive pensions every month in many countries. This will causes the young workers feel dissatisfied and strike which lead further financial problems to the governments.

Nowadays, it is obviously seen that the percentage of ederly increased rapidly because of the accent put on healthcare. But this situation can have both negative and positive effect on society. In our opinion, too much ederly is a hindrance for a society because this of people need more attention and much money to take care of.

first of all, on the educational plan, they need to be educated as well as children. thus, their education can cost more than the student one. this situation is a additional buerden for the government which has for priority to take car ofe children education.

secondly, in the companies, older people are less strengh than younger one. Bisides, companies can loose more than forseen by hiring them because there will be a lack of strengh work force which can lead to the lack of effcetivness in the work place.

lastly, older people can be a burden for family. thus, many families prefer to keep their older members in the orgnisation which role is to protect them. this situation most a time increase the family expenditures. bisides, even at home, they need more care and children are less look after.

on the other hands it is not completly true to say that elderly is only a hindrance on society. because this group of people have their role.

firstly, they are better situated to enquiry the younger generation about the past. for example they create family fun telling ancient stories aonut every aspect of the life. furthermore there is a commion belief which state that elderly are the mirror of the society.

secondly, on the economic plan, we can not deny that they are the only one who take care of farms in the countrysides. thus, they represent abig work force for the agricultural sector in many countries.

to sum up our views we can say the increase of aging people is still a debatable issue. but by seing the negative and positive effects developed above we can remain to the point that elderly is a hindrance for society. after that one question remain in our mind. what should we do to them?
