benefits and drawbacks of advertisements

It is argued that a number of people endorse the prominent advantages of advertisements. From my perspective, I strongly believe that advertisements serve dire consequences that far outweigh any benefits they bring.

On the one hand, there are a plethora of advantages of what commercial advertisement brings. It is possible that they play a significant role in introducing the conglomerate's products. People have access rapidly the main information of these merchandise through a short advertised video. Therefore, not only does it meet their demand but also it creates a significant background to make the company's profits. In particular, through means of social media, conglomerates have more opportunities to improve their reputation and popularize the product quality with the immediately advertised video and others.

On the other hand, I firmly endorse that commercial advertisements have bombarded a variety of television channels, newspapers and others. One of the most significant aspects is that advertising is a common method to persuade customers to make a purchase regardless of the usefulness of the commodity. An obvious example of this is that the latest Samsung mobile phone seems no different from its predecessor, except for a rapid processor. However, the Samsung marketers are skillful enough to convince and manipulate the customer's decision making. Moreover, the companies have a variety of strategies, one of them is hiring celebrities to propagandize their products. This leads to the increase of profit when grabbing the fans' attention.

The above discussion favors a conclusion that beside a variety of prominent benefits, advertisements bring the public a concern regarding the product purchase. This leads to customers falling victim to the company's advertising campaigns.

The topic restatement paragraph is incomplete. It must introduce both public opinions to the reader before introducing the writer's personal opinion. This paragraph is missing one public reference sentence. Therefore, the prompt restatement is incomplete and will affect the score in relation to the accuracy of that paragraph. It cannot receive a passing preliminary score.

Overall, the essay does not represent a consideration of the public reasons for supporting the opinions before the writer gave his opinion. All the opinions present are one sided and reflective only of the writer's opinion. The expected response format was not used in this case (public opinion in comparison to writer's opinion). So the essay responds to only 1 of the 2 writing instructions. The idea is under developed and incomplete. It is not a passing score essay.
