Nowadays,there are many stories in the news occurring environment problems for such acid rain, global warming and depleting of ozone layer. Where are the community who are concern on the environment's condition? What do we need to do to inculcate them with environment saving habits? Actually there are many steps can be taken to encourage others in nurturing the environment. One of the step is by introducing a "Protecting the Environment" campaign. As usual the campaign will educate people to be more concern on the environment's condition. However, from this campaign, many new rules imposed and also activities that will heartened others on protecting the environment together.

Through the campaign, we introduce a ruling that drivers who park their cars are not allowed to leave their engines running. This is because it can help to reduce the emission of carbon monoxide from vehicles. Furthermore, security guards are tasked to advise those waiting in the car to turn off their engines. Besides that, for those who purchase a hybrid car are entitled to three months of free parking in the city. With these rules, there will be many people concern on the effects of using excessive of petrol to the environment.

A talk on how to practice green lifestyles at home also will be held to instil them on environment saving habits. Through the talk, we can encourage them to live healthy lifestyles such as use energy saving bulbs and low energy appliances. For those who love planting, insist them to plant certain herbs that repel mosquitos. As a result, it can help to avoid using harmful chemical insecticides that endangered other living life.

The authorities also need to play their roles in enforcing strict law to those who do not care on the cleanliness of the environment. They can imposed fine of RM 50 on the spot for those who caught littering. Moreover, operators who do not keep their premises clean could be fined up to RM 1,000. By imposing fine to the offenders, it can give them a lesson and they will be afraid to repeat their mistakes again.

Everyday there are many wastes thrown either domestic waste or industrial waste. On top of that, there must be a proper treatment for these wastes, so that, it will not pollute the environment. Another step can be done is recycle all non-biodegradable materials such as plastic bottles, cans and newspapers, instead of sending them to garbage bin. In addition, the recycle materials will be produce into new products.

To end, the recognition will be given to individuals who have contributed towards environmental conservation. Besides that, a reward of rebate up to RM 500 on yearly assessment also given to those who follow a green lifestyle. This will be another step to catch more people to be a part of the campaign.
