There is actually no given prompt. It could be any prompt, but it needs to be a five paragraph interpretive essay with obviously a thesis statement. Intro, 3 body paragraphs, and a conclusion.

OK, so what would you like to write about? You can search for common themes (comparing the two), symbolism, mood, plot, characterization; what strikes you out of these works?

I actually have to write an essay for each one of the works. I can't come up with a prompt myself. Would you be able to give me a few prompts for each? That way I can choose which one to do. Preferably, I'd like to write about the important of marriage in Pride and Prejudice. I don't know what to write about for East of Eden.
