Entrance Exam ~ English & Reading Comprehension

I am a 47 year old woman who has just returned to college and could use some guidelines for writing an essay and reading comprehension. English is not my forte so all the help I can get I will welcome.

Reading comprehension is a skill which improves with practice. I would advise taking as many practice tests as you can. Skim through the paragraph you are reading, actively looking for the most important "nuggets" of information you can find.
