i am writing an argument essay i want to know how do we do the outline for my topic. i want and introduction ,3 supporting paragraph and one counter argument-(rebuff) and the conclusion.
Local Food Versus Imported Food. argument essay. How to start?
Hi Erica,
Is this an IELTS topic? If so, then Introduction + 3 supporting paragraph + 1 counter argument paragraph + conclusion may be two much. You only have 40 minutes in your exam to prepare your writing. If not, then ignore my comment.
cheers

well this is not IELTS topic.
Hi,
Well, I think you should start by defining the local food and the imported food...I mean what's the "local food" term ? ...what's the "imported food" term ? ...act like no one know what're these terms.

you can start by pointing out flaws in the argument.
in your intro you should explain what each local and imported food mean
supporting could be
- how much the statistics show the preference of one
-the difference in the cost of the food
-do a survey to have proven results of what is peoples accurate preference
counter
-how the other is also a great thing to choose because of its nutrients
conclusion
-i hope that with this being stated to you about the foods you would think twice about what you eat
tips:try to include fun facts to keep the audience attention
