Successes and failures in my professional life have influenced my goals in a big way. My goal is to work for an organization which provides ample growth opportunities and a chance to hone the skills that I will acquire in B-school.
After completing MBA, I would like to join Tata Administrative Services (TAS). This venerable institute has got one of the best grooming programs for newly recruited management graduates. At TAS, working under the guidance of expert managers at early stage in my career will help me iron out any difficulties I might have in implementing my knowledge. I want to avail this opportunity of receiving insightful suggestion from industry veterans; laying strong foundation for my management career. Furthermore, starting a management career in a Tata group, consisting of over 76 companies and having diverse business interest, will usher in the chances of rapid career growth.
Since TAS is a fiercely sought after institute for MBA graduates, I recon I will have tough competition getting in. 3 years of experience in XYZ, CPIM certification, and experience as team lead in payroll section at ABC have provided me functional knowledge of manufacturing, supply chain management and HR aspects of business. To make my skill set more well-rounded, I am eager to learn Finance and strategy at ISB. I am counting on my diverse experience and quality education at ISB to prepare me enough for the competition for TAS.
In a nutshell, 3 years after the MBA I see myself as a manager in a Tata group company having successfully passed the intensive training program of TAS. As a contingency plan, I would look for job with Unilever, who also has good grooming program; albeit not as hallowed as TAS's.
