1. Why do you want to pursue this graduate program at Mays Business School?
While considering higher education, one of my biggest concerns was work experience. I wanted to create a strong foundation in marketing early in my professional life but I did not have the work experience to suit an MBA curriculum.
The MS in Marketing program at Mays Business School, in my opinion, addresses this very need.
The curriculum encompasses a strong foundation through subjects like Marketing Leadership (MKTG 670) along with specializations in my desired focus - brand management which I intend to integrate with a certification in analytics. The structure of the curriculum that is rooted in classroom training and branches out to marketing consulting projects with reputed companies like Adidas, Coca-cola and WalMart and summer internships is very mindful of the students being young professionals.
The presence of prominent individuals on the Advisory Board like Ms. Tami Cannizzaro, a certified career coach with a successful trajectory in strategic marketing and PR, not to mention the concept of an Advisory board itself, helps me understand that the course is focussed helping each student recognize the path to their individual career goals.
In Mays' own words it offers " a small school fee with the resources of a large university". It was very important to me, at this early stage in my career, to not put an excessive amount of financial pressure on myself or my family.
