Q: [TOEFL] Some famous athletes and entertainers earn millions of dollars every year. Do you think these people deserve such high salaries? Use specific reasons and examples to support your opinion.

High wages for famous people?

People now a day live in a complicated society, people from different social status and doing different kinds of works. Some people will get high paid jobs because the companies receive good profit, some people get normal salaries because the works are simple. Therefore, various jobs provide various wages, personally speaking, I definitely agree the statement that those famous athletes and singers deserve to get such a high pay.

Although some people might think that the concert should not charge customers such a high admission fee because they think it is unreasonable to cost so high. Moreover, some people may even maintain how come the products which are signed by those people's name could be rather expensive. However, there are several following reasons to support my opinion why the renowned people deserve to get these privilege.

First of all, being illustrious singers and athletes are definitely difficult because those are in fierce competition. I could definitely reason that the probability to be a famed people is so low; thus, it is undoubted that they have to work in high pressure, which is much higher than the original people. Moreover, they have to invest a lot of money in marketing and relevant business, so this is why they need to get the feedback to balance wax and wane.

Moreover, undoubtedly, those well-known people put lots of effort on their works. They spend a lot of time and money to make themselves outstanding under the stage. Each of them is sweating blood to attract the viewers' eyes. Take NBA basketball players, for example, LeBron James is the king in NBA no one can beat him solely, even three people are also difficult to defend his attack. His success comes from not only his talent but also his hard work. He makes a training schedule every day, discussing with his coach about every game and learns from mistakes. Furthermore, he has to follow the nutritionist's advice to control the calories. Virtually, his life is tight and busy, that he can not stop his steps because someone else may catch his steps or transcend him.

In conclusion, the reasons which I mentioned above explain why I think that the famous singers and athletes deserve such a high wages. They invest a high price to acquire success so it is reasonable for them to earn lots of fortune.

By the way, could someone tell how many scores I could get in Independent writing?

Because modern life is very complex, it is essential for young people to have the ability to plan and organize.

Thanks for the advanced technology, it makes people's life more convenient and colorful. In other words, people now a day have to do a lot of choices, they have many goods to choice in each shopping, or they have many options to do at the same time.There is no doubt that modern life is more complicated than before; therefore, I believe that it is important for young people to have the ability to plan and organize.

To begin with, the first ability that I think young people should have is managing the priority. Just mentioned in the former paragraph, human beings have to do lots of decisions per day, their schedules must be busy, so how to manage the priority is a quite basic issue to concern. Take me for example, I will save my schedule in the cell phone, so I will decide what I am going to do before that day. Moreover, the cell phone will remind me with the alarming system that I won't forget the important meeting or appointments.

Secondly, making plain is always necessary because you usually do not have time to make a decision on that moment. Moreover, you are probably to make a mistake, so to avoid making such a stupid mistake, making a plan is a solution. Doing a schedule is similar to creating a plan, both need to think and then make a decision, so I consider that schedule is a helpful tool to help people to manage their life and make a plan.

Last but not least, if the young people are unable to manage and plan they are in danger. This is because they may waste their time on trivial things, and they possibly forget to do the necessary tasks. Unfortunately, they might not accomplish anything, as the result of the trivial things distract their attention.

In conclusion, the more sophisticated the world are, the more careful young people should be because the changes of the word is complex; however, if the young people cultivate the ability of planning and organizing they will not have to be scared, they can control their life well done.

[TOEFL] Agree or disagree? Educating children is a more difficult task today than it was in the past

Thank for the advanced technology, people staying today have more convenience life than people who lived before the Internet revolution. People are endowed to buy lots of devices and machines, so they are able to do more things in limited time. However, some people believe that advanced technology still disturbs and has a negative effect on the users. In my opinion, I agree that it is more difficult to educate children today.

To begin with, children will be distracted by latest smartphone and game machine, so they can not concentrate on the study and doing homework. Sometimes it is too difficult for some students to manage their time, so they would break the balance between playing and studying. I have seen many cases of playing too many online games, so they have to crumble the whole test materials in the last week. This is really ineffective and it is not good for learning because there is no enough time to absorb the intelligence.

Secondly, the another reason to support my opinion is children might waste much time on watching the advertisement. There is no doubt that people can see the various advertisement on television and website in force, if the program truly goes for 50 minutes, the audience would actually spend 60 minutes watching all of them because the merchants insert the advertisement.

Last but not least, people and students spend huge time on receiving the advertisement on the screen, they are not only wasting time but also unable to pay attention to the class. People have their own smartphones, so students can browse the website wherever they stay, including the classroom. Therefore, many students play cell phones in the class, they are losing their chance to learn new knowledge and losing their chance to interact with teachers. Furthermore, I think looking down to smartphones is impolite to the speakers.

To sum up, I agree that educating students is more difficult today because those attracting devices and software make students can not concentrate on class, it is not only waste teachers' time but also students' time. Maybe it would be a critical issue for people to start solving this problem in the future.
