Having successfully worked and managed assignments professionally and winning many rewards and recognition, I realized that I needed a management degree which could connect me to broader horizon and be part of the ever changing world.
Ever since I started working I have nurtured a dream of becoming a part of the top level management team of a large multinational organization as well as gaining some insights to entrepreneur approach for my future plan of starting my NGO.For me a management degree is one that will teach and groom me to the next level. So I am looking at enrolling myself to a matured MBA program that takes care of reputation, have a highly structured global content, and has a small cohort and a good mix of nationalities.
At this point of my career I also need an MBA that has both traditional and practical approach to learning. Based on all of the above I chose my universities:
1.Cass Business school (City university London): Cass Business School Full-time MBA programme is one of the most highly respected and prestigious MBA. The program structure have a good mix of lectures, workshops, live projects and overseas ventures which rightly fits to what I was looking for. The program carries electives which have a good blend of management and entrepreneurship which will help me design the next decisive phase of my career.
2.Birmingham business school (Birmingham University): MBA International business is a unique program structured with a global business perspective with four enterprise projects in UK and worldwide that will help to get a first-hand experience of different learning environment. I found this structure a good learning platform and it connects well to my future plans building my NGO to a global platform .International perspective will provide meaningful insights on how the corporate world , the economies would shape up in future and I am sure I can relate these live projects to future assignments .
3.Exeter MBA (university of Exeter): The business school is part of the Russell Group Business School. The One planet MBA program highly focusses on personal and professional development .The modules are well taught on live projects. The program also focuses on how global economies, social, environmental and technological challenges are impacting on business and the workplace which caught my attention. The program also have modules and electives on entrepreneurship and overall that takes care of both the routes I am looking forward in the future.
What I also learnt is that the MBA programs are highly competitive which demands self-discipline and long study hours and assignments. These characteristics are well in me as working every day with deadlines, with teams have inculcated in me to work in high pressured, demanding schedule. I am also confidant that having the opportunity to study at any of the three universities, with the help of chevening scholarship, will take me to the next level where I can see myself as a successful professional helping towards economic development of a country and also a person who can be a part of the social change where we can have a better world to live for ourselves and future generations.
