Writing Feedback / The given graph shows the consumption of fast food in the UK (per week) from 1970 to 1990. [2]

Writing task 1: Ielts - Line Chart

The given graph shows the consumption of fast food in the UK (per week) from 1970 to 1990.

The mentioned line chart elucidates the expenditure of fast food in United Kingdom weekly in the period of 1970 to 1990.
As it can be seen from the chart, hamburger and fish and chips showed an upward trend while the opposite was true for pizza over the span of 20 years from 1970 to 1990. Interestingly, in this period, fish and chips had the most significant changes.

In 1970, pizza was by far the best fast food consumed by inhabitants in the UK at over 300 grams. Meanwhile, the consumptions of hamburger and fish and chips were about 30 and 80 grams respectively. The period between 1970 and 1980 witnessed a marginal drop in the expenditure of pizza while the others increased gradually.

After 1980, there was a rise at 150 grams in the consumption of fish and chip, but later hit the highest point, reaching 500 grams in 1990, which was a surprise. Similarly, the forenamed of hamburger reached a peak at approximately 290 grams. Nevertheless, the expenditure of pizza experienced a steady fall and hit the lowest point at 200 grams, but later went up moderately at 210 grams.

Writing Feedback / Which is more important family or friend [6]

Hello, one thing i want to say is that your essay has lots of small mistakes.

First, you should be careful with tenses because if you write beautifully but have lots of gramma mistakes, you will still lose point.

Secondly, you essay's tone is informal. Ielts is an academic test so you should change your tone.

Thirdly, your voice in this essay is too basic to get high mark. But i think you are a new learner and you will be better.

Good luck

Student Talk / What is ielts writing? I am confused. [27]

Hello, I'm a high school student so I'm used to writing essays.

First, "Practice makes perfect" - you cannot improve if you don't prepare and practice writing everyday.
Secondly, you should read more. I recommend you to read essays from your lecturers or classmates who are good at writing.
Last but not least, you can try to learn some academic writing like ielst or toefl because these tests can improve your writing skills amazingly.

Love from me.
Good luck

Writing Feedback / The line graph elucidates the percentage of inhabitants aged 65 and more in three nations [3]

Writing task 1: Ielts - Line Chart

Word: 188.

The mentioned line graph elucidates the percentage of inhabitants aged 65 and more in three nations in the period of 1940 to 2040.

As it can be seen from the graph, the proportions of the elderly in all three nations show an upward trend over a span of 100 years. Outstandingly, Japan is anticipated to have the most substantial increase in its elderly dwelers.

In 1940, the country with the highest rate of population was America with 9% while the opposite was true for Japan with 5%. The period between 1940 and 2000 witnessed a slight growth in the aforementioned population in the USA and Sweden reaching 14% and 15% respectively. However, the percentage of Japanist pp aged 65 year and over remained unchanged at 5% in this period.

After 2000, there will be an increasing fluctuation in the proportion of Swedish elderly inhabitants to 25%. Futhermore, a plateau at 14% in the forenamed the American elderly is expected, but later rise to 23%. Besides, after increasing steadily from 2000 to 2030, the rate of Japanist population will hit the highest point at 27%, which is a surprise.

Because I'm going to take the real test next week so please give me the most detailed feedback and a band score.

Writing Feedback / IELTS Writing task 2 - comparing talents from birth and trained musicians/athletes.. [4]

Hello, I'm just a high school student so I wish I could give some useful advices.

First, your essay is too short, which means that you haven't done the requirement and obviously you will lose the point.

Secondly, you should be careful with your grammar:

DETERMINATION, as well as PASSION are indifferent ... ---------> is
Structure: if you use "as well as" for two subjects, the verb(s) for 2 two subjects must be conjugated with the first subject.
Eg: THE STUDENTS, as well as THE TEACHER, ARE decorating their class.

Last but not least, your conclusion needs fixing because I think your statement can not convey the main idea and your opinion.

Thanks for reading.

Writing Feedback / Goods delivered in the United Kingdom by 4 different methods of transport in the period of 1974-2002 [3]

Writing task 1: Ielts - Bar Chart

The graph below shows the quantities of goods transported in the UK between 1974 and 2002 by four different modes of transport.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

My essay:
The mentioned line chart elucidates the quantities of goods delivered in the United Kingdom by 4 different methods of transport in the period of 1974 to 2002.

As can be seen from the graph, the amount of goods transported by road, water, pipeline gradually increased while the mass of goods fetched by rail remained constant at about 40 million tonnes. It is notable that the largest quantities of goods transported in the UK throughout 28 years were delivered by road while the opposite was true for pipeline.

The period between 1978 and 1982 and another between 1990 and 1994 witnessed a slight decrease in the amount of goods transferred by road. It is intriguing that goods delivered by water and rail both declined in this time. However, there was a moderate growth in the aforementioned goods transported by pipeline.

Starting at nearly 40 million tonnes in 1974, the quantities of goods transported by water showed an upward trend, but later went up steadily to reach a peak at more than 60 million tonnes. Many marginal declines of 10 million tonnes were experienced in the amount of goods delivered by rail, nevertheless it stilll reached a plateau at 40 million tonnes.

Thanks for helping me
