Undergraduate / Growing up who was my childhood Hero (My Uncle) [6]

Who was your childhood hero? As for myself I can think of one person who I always thought about as being my childhood hero. My uncle Manue, he had great personal traits that made him my childhood hero. Growing up I witnessed how responsible, family oriented, and organized my uncle was.

I remember my uncle being responsible with paying bills on time and having excellent credit score. We would have conversations when I was a child how important it is to be responsible with your bills and credit score. It seemed as on a daily basis he would advised to be responsible when I grow-up. He was always the reliable one in the family that everyone went to when they needed some sort of assistance in their lifes. My mother and other uncles would communicate with him and he was always there regardless of what the circumstance was.

"Family comes first" were my uncle's words when I was a child. He instilled it in us, so we can remember that when we became adults. My uncle enjoyed playing with us. It was either playing hide-in-seek, basketball, Nintendo, swimming or soccer. He had time to dedicate to us. When he had his first child he was ecstatic that he had become a father. I remember him saying how wonderful it is to be a parent. As my cousin grew up he put her in sports. He went to all the games that his daughter had played in and took many pictures of her in her uniforms.

My uncle was organized in every way possible. When he would travel out of state or to a different country he would make sure he would mail his bills on a timely manner. He had an office room with a file cabinet where he stored all of his bills. Of course, they were all labeled. Going to his house, he had everything organized. The bedrooms, office room, and garage were always clean and immaculate.

Growing up I admired my uncle and would often say "I want to my like my uncle Meno when I grow up" I can strongly say that I have the same personal traits that my uncle tought me when I was a child. I am the responsible, family oriented, and organized person that I admired from my uncle who was my childhood hero.

Writing Feedback / Why Life Insurance important? - It has many benefits [6]

Why is life insurance important? Life insurance is defenitely an important factor in one's life. It benefits anyone who is affected by a sudden death in the family. I realized how important it is until my grandmother passed away late last year. It was a sudden death and of course she didn't have life insurance. With this bad economy, many of my uncles and mother are making ends meet. My grandmother got creamated and till this day has not received a proper burial because of money issues. My uncles and mother had talked about it in the past to get my grandmother a life insurance, but they weren't proactive about it. Now, they regret immensely how important life insurance is. Why go through life wondering " I should have got life insurance" No, it can be easily be prevented. I'm a strong believer in life insurance because you never know what the future holds. Luckily for my husband, my children and myself have life insurance. We don't want to be a burden to someone's life because we didn't have insurance. It has many benefits of obtaining one that it can pay for burial costs, debt, education, etc. It may cost a little bit of money on a monthly basis, but in the long run it will pay-off.

Writing Feedback / My Last weekend: "working around the house" [3]

Last Friday I heard read from the an internet website and heard from school about the snowy weather. So, in that specific day I was going to come out early from school before the snow started. So, the day passed not as usual; picking up my son from school early, shopping some foods from supermarket as the same time because the snow had began. The main things I did this weekend were I wrote my assignment and I read from the magazine that our teacher gave me last Friday.

Undergraduate / Cbest exam; Property theft - problem in community essay [5]

Hello

I'm going to take the Cbest writing exam on February. I have taken the Reading. I barely passed with 37 points. I'm going to retake it to score higher on the points. I just found this website and I think it's great to have people give you feedback on your writing. Do you know if there are topics here that we can start writing an essay? I want to improve my writing because I need to pass the Cbest.

Thank you
Janey
