Graduate / Affordable housing for students of Claitown Univer. and a way to fund the building of such housing [3]

Below is an argument eassay for GRE.

Claitown University needs both affordable housing for its students and a way to fund the building of such housing. The best solution to this problem is to commission a famous architect known for experimental and futuristic buildings. It is common knowledge that tourists are willing to pay money to tour some of the architect's buildings, so it can be expected that tourists will want to visit this new building. The income from the fees charged to tourists will soon cover the building costs. Furthermore, such a building will attract new students as well as donations from alumni. And even though such a building will be much larger than our current need for student housing, part of the building can be used as office space

The argument is about hiring an artichet and constructing a new building which will fulfill many purposes such as housing for the students, become tourist place, and can also office area. The the given statement it follows that Claitown University does not have enough found to construct a housing building for its students and thus relying on other factors to incur a tax. However, there are many loopholes in the given passage. The author is unable to convince that building will proof to be beneficial for Claitown University.

Firstly, the author speaks about hiring a famous architect known for experimental and futuristic buildings. Architect can charge heavy amount in return. Since, nothing is discussed about architect's pricing we do not know how much he will charge for constructing a new type of building.

Secondly, author says that the new building thus constructed will attract tourists and can collect heavy amount from them but the building is for student's housing and once occupied by the students, tourist might not even like to visit the place. In addition to that, author has not presented and crisp plan about the construction of the building. The new building thus constructed might not liked by the people. They would rather visit a place whivh is more natural. Thus, author's assumption of collecting fund from tourists seems to fail here.

Thirdly, author assumes that the new constructed building will attract new students and also donations from alumini. Here, again the plan about the building is missing. How much are they going to charge each student? What facilities are they going to provide the students? It is quite obvious that housing with less facilities and high cost will detract the customers and if the building is made available at low cost the students, it might go in loss. Thus, we need to have complete plan about the facilities and pricing of the building. The author is relying on alumini's donation but he has not cited any example of other universities where donations are given by alumini. Therefore, author's thought of collecting the fund from students and alumini seems to be vague.

Fourthly, author gives another idea of using the building for office purpose. This can be major turn-offs for the students and also corporate people. Corporate people would like the hire the office area in a commercial place not at the academic area in the same way students would like to reside at an academic area and at the commercial area. Thus, here also author lacks in proper planning

Writing Feedback / An Analysis of Outsourcing Information Systems [2]

We are living in the world of rapidly growing technology. Outsourcing (OSC) is the gift of technology. It is the process of contracting the business to a third party. OSC became popular in 21st centaury in America. Through the past years OSC became most popular industry worldwide. It helps to focus the company in its core product reducing the cost of labour.

Manufacturing of any product is a complex process and requires experts at all stages. A particular firm may not have experts of all level, so they outsource their business to other firm, which has experts of the required level. The company, which has outsourced their business, becomes the client and the other company that provides the service becomes the supplier. The employees of the client becomes the employees of the supplier.

There are two types of OSC, Business Process Outsourcing (BPS) and Information Technology Outsourcing (ITO). Business Process Outsourcing involves call centre outsourcing, human resource outsourcing, and finance and accounting outsourcing. Some of the top IT companies involved in outsourcing are IBM, Accenture, Capegemmini, HP etc.

OSC helps the company to focus on its core product, example, Apple decided to focus on the R&D of its product and outsourced the manufacturing unit from China. OSC saves time, money, and utilizes human resource to the fullest. Many IT companies outsource jobs such as call centre services, email services , and payrolls, these services are handled with separate companies those specialized in each service, and are often located overseas.

OSC has its own disadvantages. Employess of lower grade becomes the employee of the suppliers, thus there's a communication gap between the employees and higher managerial level. Other most important disadvantage is leakage of the information. OSC is not safe from the security point of view. One such high-profile theft happened with the Citibank costumers. The call-centre employee acquired userid and passwords of the American Citibank costumers and transferred the fund to their accounts created under fictitious names . Citibank could not find the problem unless the American costumers complained about the theft.

OSC faces other problem such as laungage, time zone , and cultural difference, if the work is being done in offshore.

Thus, outsourcing is considered as the consolidation between different businesses from different fields, resulting in better overall product in terms of quality. But it has its own shortcomings which can be managed to overcome any challenges.

Graduate / 'Child Labour in TV Shows inhibits a child's all round development' [2]

The word child means human between the stages of infancy and puberty, i.e. all human beings between the age group of 1 to 14 are children. Childhood is considered to be the best stage in a human life. This is the stage when a person enjoys a lot, are involved in education, and several other extra-curricular activities. This is the stage for the all round development of the child. All human beings belonging to this age should be given proper food, education, and other necessary amenities because children are the leaders of tomorrow. Children's fate is the deciding factor for the country's fate.

Now, the question arises, what is child labour? The answer to this question is-children involved in any kind of part-time or full-time economic activities at the cost of education, which does not play a role in all round development of the child. Such activities include, selling of newspapers, washing the plates at hotel, cleaning the vehicles, cooking at home, and many more. These activities hamper child's mental and physical development. Indian government has made various laws on such type of child labor but all in vain. Now, let us discuss another type of child labor that inhibits a child's all round development, there is no law against such labour, such type of child labour is, 'Child Labour in Television (TV) Shows'.

Children acting in TV serials do not belong to poverty line. These children come from middle class and upper middle class families. These kids are forced to send to sets for acting by their parents. Parents think that TV serials are the easiest method to get fame and earn bread and butter. Some of the parents send their kids in live shows at the cost of their education. But they don't think how this can affect their child's psychology. A child has to work very hard at sets, sometimes shooting is scheduled at night, and this causes real harm to the child's health.

Thus, laws should be made against child labour in TV shows, which is really ruining the little life and parents should rethink before sending their kids to modeling, acting or live shows, because childhood once lost, can't get back.

Writing Feedback / IELTS Essay: Pollution, traffic congestion and solutions [2]

Drivers should be charged for congestion fee, thus this will force people to use public transport rather than private cars.

For example, in the city of London drivers are required to pay eight pounds to enter the centre of the city.

Also, bus or train stations should be located close to the residential areas to avoid travelling for longer distance.

NOTE:

Keep your sentence short and simple. Use active voice insted of passive

I think you could have suggested some more solutions,
1.Relating the problem with non-renewable source of enegry.Execessive use of private cars has lead to depriciation of fuel, which is the non-renewable source of energy.

2.Fuel price hike.

3.Noise pollution

4. Trying to aware people with the disadvanteges of using private cars.

Writing Feedback / SOCIAL NETWORKING SITES (pros and cons) [2]

Twenty first century is the world of 'Internet'. We get connected to our buddies through internet. Social Networking Site has helped us to connect to our relatives, friends, colleagues, and strangers, sitting far away from us. We get to know about the people, their interests, their work etc. through these sites. These sites have become very common among individuals of all age. Today there are many SNSs that have influenced modern human lives in many aspects. These sites have their own pros and cons.

First SNS was SixDegrees.com which was launched in 1997. Some most commonly SNSs used today are: Facebook, Google plus, Twitter, Flickr, Bebo, MySpace, Meetup, Meetme, Orkut, etc. Users create their profiles, add interests, add photographs, add friends, etc. Here friends can be relatives, colleagues, or even strangers. Friends can be added from anywhere in the world.

SNSs have become common among children, teenage, adults, and also among old people. It is a very common pastime and also the most convinent means to connect to the people, whom we can't meet or connect through phone. We can also video chat, voice chat, or do video conferencing with the friends added in our friend's list. This is the most important feature provided by such sites. Even jobs can be searched on these sites; Linkedin is the professional networking site of one such type. There are SNSs for dogs and cats also, Dogster and Catster respectively. Their profiles are managed by their owners.

SNSs sites are extensively used by youth; not only by college and school going kids but also people working in office. It kills valuable time, intended for productive work. These sites are blocked in several offices and also schools and colleges, but there are various proxy servers which can be used to access these sites. These sites are also involved in Cyber Crime.

Technology has their own advantages and disadvantages. Thus, these sites are again the gift of Science & Technology if used with great care.

Undergraduate / Most Embarrassing Situation In My Life [3]

Human life is full of events and incidents. Some are good ones while others we don't even want to remember. But most of them remain in our memories. Sometimes we recall these memories and become happy while others gives us pain, so its better not to recall those that gives us pain or make us unhappy. God has given us only one life, so we should always try to be happy.

A situation had come in my life which was most embarrassing for me. I was in my degree. Having studied from a non-coeducation institution, I was very shy and reserved. I faced difficulty in mingling with people as a result I had very few friends, and those too only girls. I kept miles of distance from boys. From my first day in college, I used to sit on first bench, away from all the boys, pay attention to the professor, only talk to my best friend, and finally go home with her. And if by mistake I had to talk to any guy, my face turned red like a tomato. As result, people started calling me 'tomato', 'red monkey', and may more.

One fine day, we were in class. There was a pin drop silence and the professor was busy with his lecture. That day unluckily I sat at the last bench. I was suffering from cough and cold and was given a cough syrup, 'Benadryl'. This medicine has some amount of alcohol, as a result, I slept in class. A very serious discussion about the topic was going on. Unware of everything I was lost in my wonderland. Suddenly, I felt someone shaking my body. I got-up with a sudden stroke and my sight fell on Professor's spects. With his bulging red eyes, behind the glasses, he busted like a bomb at me, asked me to get out from the class. I found myself helpless, moved out from the class. Stayed out for an hour. That one hour was most embrassing situation for me. After an hour I was allowed to sit in class. But whole day I could not pay attention to any of the lectures. Today also, When I recall this situation, I remember only his 'bulging eyes' peeping from spects
