Writing Feedback / Kobe vs Lebron? Lebron James is still the King of this basketball planet; Contrast essay [5]

Kobe vs Lebron
Nowadays, when somebody talks about their favorite NBA Basketball player , Kobe Bryant and Lebron James are always the top two that come up in such conversations. These conversations are brought up because of their remarkable performances since the start of their basketball careers from a young kid to the professionals. Kobe Bryant plays as a 6 foot 6 inch shooting guard for the Los Angeles Lakers and Lebron James plays as a 6 foot 8 inch small forward for the Cleveland Cavaliers and is referred to as King James. Kobe Bryant has played 18 seasons in the NBA and has a lot of basketball experience while James has been in the league for 11 seasons, which shows Kobe has more basketball knowledge about the game than him and also has achieved more than Lebron. On the basis of an individual approach, stamina and athleticism we can say Lebron has better understanding towards the game of basketball and he can all by himself give tough time to his opponents.

It is extremely tough to name one a better player than the other because each player has his own recognitions in the world of basketball. Kobe Bryant is really known as a scorer and his ability to put the ball through the basket and come clutch in time of tension leading his team to five championship titles as a Los Angeles Laker. Lebron is known as a facilitator. He is immensely athletic and will be remembered for his huge dunk Throwdowns and has two championship titles with the Miami Heat in his 4 years played there. They both play as the backbone of the teams they play for , using different styles. Lebron prefers to play in a very defensive mode because of his body strength and athleticism which is 250 Lbs of muscle while also maintaining the cadence of the game offensively to give him an advantage over Kobe Bryant on the other hand who isn't as athletic as Lebron but has size of close to 213 Lbs but plays aggressively offensively and takes advantage of any of his opponents' weaknesses.

Both players have an exceptional style of play . If we tried to elaborate on their game on the court , we would definitely be leaning toward Lebron with the opinion that he is very active defensively, he's a great team leader and tries to keep the game going at his own pace. Lebron has a more humanitarian attitude towards the game and is more of a team player who would do anything to satisfy his teammates and of course get the win while Kobe Bryant, though very aggressive offensively and somewhat defensively, is sort of a selfish player who cares more about individual statistics and winning than his team's satisfaction. This brings us to their audience supports that has a lot to say about these players. Since Kobe Bryant is an old veteran player who has made records in NBA History during his prime , has more accomplishments and has played versus the greatest opponents in basketball such as Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen, makes him have more fans and crowd support giving him an edge over Lebron James though fabulous, but still a young basketball player compared to Kobe as Lebron quotes " In high school , I always dreamed of playing in the NBA looking at Kobe as my role model ."

In conclusion , it's a fact that winning games is the best statistics of all and it is the only option we are left with when comparing a player's performance to another. If we look into both players' performances, we can say that contribution made every night in the arena has been always at their best. Regardless of the accomplishment , fan support or whatever that makes people prefer one player's talent , we should take a more critical look to decide who is the better player in terms of leadership, facilitating and the perfect fit for the team they play for. In the end, we can say that though Lebron is a young player to Kobe Bryant in relation to experience, Lebron is still the King of this basketball planet and nobody has surpassed him just because of aggressive attitude or making his opponent helpless in the game. Just his natural abilities and role on his team, exceed anybody else's .He believes in a humanitarian play style and when he is out there to play, keeps his mind focus and concentrated his job, the one thing in this wide world he is best at. Lebron James has more to learn while getting to the peak of his abilities and to keep dominating in the NBA.

Writing Feedback / With the humble attitude, we can earn the respect from others and relieve ourselves.; Toefl exam! [3]

if you could put the essay question up top it will give a better understand of your point of view. I love your use of imagery to give the reader a vivid image of your situation. I think you should try to take out the informal parts of it like "Don't trap in the plot that he step on your feet without apology" I thought that you shouldn't use. Also try to make your essay a little longer by adding facts on your own point of view. Overall I liked it

Writing Feedback / I went to Thailand this summer for a school service trip - Narrative Essay [6]

A time when I encountered a culture different from mine - Thailand Travel.

When I went to Thailand for a school service summer trip, I experienced a culture totally different from what I was used to. This seem very adventurous to me Not having any background in Thai, I knew this was going to be an interesting trip. Living in the small village of Udon Thani taught me a lot about the closeness of the Thai who live in small villages. People there were highly sociable and chose not to cook so they could eat out to eat at the marketplace and bond with friends and family. This was a rural area filled with farmers so they were really proud to show off their grains and produce to the tourists. While they had little to offer in terms of wealth, they offered us social acceptance and a warm place to stay instead. After seeing the way Thai people live, I've learned to value anything or opportunity i have and to make the best out of it.

Wanting to fit in on our first day there, we helped to build a house for a local family. Even though the work required lots of energy and effort, our teacher encouraged us.Her smile was a drop of sunshine on a cloudy day which made the day feel more like a relief than a headache. We actually did something new each day. The activities ranged from playing soccer with the locals or teaching the local kids how to swim. Language was not a problem for us, apparently the honest friendship shared between people overcomes that obstacle. On adventurous days, the locals would dare us to eat exotic food like larvae and crickets. Some of my teammates were scared to death. When it came to my turn, I patiently waited for what I was going to eat. I ate it as fast as a bullet and then I threw it all up when I finished. We were not used to it but we tried it just to see if we would like it. Plus we did not want to be rude to our hosts. So we ended up teaching them about America, while they taught us about Thailand. It was a fair exchange of cultures.

In Thailand we had 3 meals a day and snack or sometimes desert in between meals. Their foods are very different from American foods. Most Thai meals always have rice on the menu and are always cooked to be really spicy using a kind of pepper that can only survive in the tropical region. I loved their food. It seemed very healthy because it always contained all the classes of food and is naturally grown.

Before we left, we did "food on flip-flops" which was just a way of sharing food with neighbors. It then that we met an 80 year old woman who asked us if we had a cure for the cancer that ailed her. I felt sad knowing that she was suffering and I could not do anything to help except bring her food. On our last night, we participated in a traditional Thai dance party and lighted lanterns as a way of saying goodbye.

Encountering all these culture clashes, I was still very pleased with the hospitality Thai people showed us. They live in environments that will be considered as poor living conditions in America but don't complain and make the best out of what they have. On our last morning there before we left, we had a team meeting as a group to discuss the good things we liked about the experience and also the things we didn't like. Then we got farewell wristbands and said our last wishes. It was tough to say good bye. I loved the experience so much. It's one I will propose to anyone. Thai people are one of the best people I have ever come across. They are very hard working, loving and so welcoming. In America, my family has never had to build a house for anything and construction land is very expensive. Houses are constructed by companies or the government. In Thailand, land is cheaper and one has to build their own house to live in. I learned so much from this experience and also about myself.

I learned that I can be very useful in so many ways to any society no matter the cultural or language barriers and I wish people in America can be more hardworking, loving and welcoming like Thai people. America will be a better place. This experience changed my life for the better. It expanded my knowledge of how different parts of the world are and as a person. The best one week of my life.

Writing Feedback / A leader should admit if they made a bad decision? Toefl exam. [12]

Your essay is very rich with relevant information. You've got a lot of ideas and you develop them very well but still need to work on certain grammatical errors like cause in "shouldn't admit the bad decision he made cause that is weak and shame.". Don't use that as a short form of because. I like your and I think it has a clear point and it is easy to follow.

Undergraduate / Drexel University Essay: why you are interested in your choice of major [4]

I was once asked as a kid, what I wanted to be in future when i grew up and I said "I do not no", but growing up as a little boy back my birth country Cameroon , I was always fascinated by computers. I always wondered what they were used for and how they worked. Watching TV, I will always see cartoons and asked my father how they were made and he'll always say using the computer.

Being anxious to know more about how computers work has been in me since I was a little kid. Every time my dad used his computer, I will always want to sit next to him to see how he used the computer sometimes asked if i could use it too. As a kid, electronics always made me happy but nothing surpassed the love I had for computers. I self taught myself how to use a computer by playing educative games on it like typing tutor , spelling puzzles which was very satisfying to me when I was learning the basics of computer science in school. I felt smarter than everyone else because I knew a lot about the computer at a very young age. I knew all the parts of the computer, I could tell if they were input or output devices of the computer.

Years later , my family moved to the USA which was kind of a big transition in my life where i left my friends to make new ones here , I learned a new culture and language. In school , I took me a couple of weeks to perfectly keep up with the workload and how fast some teachers taught because of my weaknesses at the time like reading fast and paying attention in class due to distractions. I also had strengths such as being able to process lots of information at one time and also being a quick learner. My parents made me read lots of books and also be involved both in extracurricular activities and community service.

While in school, I didn't feel smarter than anyone because usually everyone was at the same level or close but my love for computers hadn't changed. In high school I took computer science related courses like Design and Technology Solutions, Foundations of Tech and AP computer science which i passed with a B grade or higher. So if i'm asked "why computer science ?" I'm going to say its because I'm good at it , I love computer science and also my Dad does computer science as a profession which is an inspiration to me to go to Drexel University and major in computer science.
