There is no doubt that tourist industry has been developing rapidly in recent decades, thus it is contended that the development of tourism is good for the economy. However, another perspective thinks that it is impacting negatively on local residents and landscape. Personally, I believe that the development of tourism has both positive and negative aspects.

To begin with, tourism can boost the economy of a country. Obviously, tourist industry creates more new jobs for local people; this helps them have more money to spend on their daily demands, such as food or clothing items. As a result, it will accelerate other industries to develop. Furthermore, tourism also improves services and infrastructure for local inhabitants. For example, to attract more foreign visitors, local governments need to fix and upgrade the old road systems and public transports; this clearly brings many benefits for local residents.

Nevertheless, tourist industry also has many drawbacks. Firstly, it causes damage to local environment. Evidently, the pollution mainly come from the exhaust fumes of vehicles which pollute the atmosphere, and the litter that visitors leave behind, such as tin cans, plastics and bottles. Moreover, there are many tourists who do not respect local cultures and customs, they are willing to graffiti on walls or status, and even they may destroy historical monuments.

In conclusion, there are both advantages and disadvantages to tourism. Therefore, it is believed that we should try to curb detrimental aspects of tourism to help it develop further in future.

While the developed countries are getting richer, almost governments in developing countries are struggling with the increasing poverty and unemployment circumstances in their countries. For this reason, it is believed that the gap between rich and poor nations is becoming wider than it has ever been before. I think that differences in education and technology are main causes that lead to this.

Obviously, most children in developed countries can go to schools, but some areas in poorer countries, children cannot afford to do that. Even though many poor children have to work in the factories to contribute to their family incomes. As a result, lack of education in young generation is making the developing nations become poorer and poorer. In addition, lack of technology also contributes to reduce growth of economy in the developing nations. For example, while the richer nations apply modern machines into their agriculture fields, the poorer nations are still using primitive equipment for their cultivation and harvest of crops.

To narrow this gap, assistances and helps from the richer nations are really necessary for the poorer nations. In particular, governments in the developed countries can establish some schools or polytechnic institutions to teach free for poor children at their countries. Moreover, providing modern machines and equipment to the developing countries is also effective way to help these countries to improve productivities in industrial and agricultural fields.

In conclusion, I believe that with supports and assistances in education and technology from the developed countries, the poorer countries can improve their economies and reduce the gap with the wealthy countries.

Topic: Some people believe that there should be fixed punishments for each type of crime. Others, however, argue that the circumstances of an individual crime, and the motivation for committing it should always be taken into account when deciding on the punishment.

Deciding punishment forms for different types of crime is the judges' difficult verdicts. Thus some think that we should have fixed punishments for each kind of crime. While others believe that it is unfair if according to the circumstances or motivation of an individual crime. I totally agree with the latter point of view.

Those who think that each type of crime should have a fixed account for itself believe that this is severe and effective punishment to tackle all kinds of crime in society. For example, if you are a murderer, you must incur the similar punishment to others murderers regardless your circumstance and motivation. For this reason, before you commit an illegal act, you should think of its punishment. It can be understood why many people support this point of view.

However, there are still those who believe that it is fairer if judges give convicts for each crime in accordance to the circumstances and motivation of its. For instance, a murderer in self-defence situation is totally different from a murderer in intentional situation. Obviously, in this case, the court should not give the same punishment for both these accounts because purposes and motivation in these scenarios are different.

In conclusion, I personally think that in addition to bringing fairness and justice to society, the law also need the flexibility in each verdict of criminal behaviours. Therefore, considering the circumstances and motivation of each individual crime is really necessary before giving ultimate sentences of punishment for these crimes.

This is no doubt that technology is developing rapidly in recent decades, especially in media field. So some people think that internet and television are having a significant influence on people's daily lives, even this influence is greater than that of politicians. However, I think that both media and politicians have influences on us in different shapes.

Obviously, we are living in the world of technology and internet and television are things that we are using everyday. In other words, we are depending on media more than we used to do in the past and we are influencing by things, which it brings. For example, when we see a kind of clothes that our idols are wearing on TV or Internet, we tend to copy their styles. Or we watch an action that someone performs in a game show on TV, we also want to imitate doing it. Evidently, media is impacting us in various aspects of lives.

Nevertheless, we cannot deny important of politicians in society. Clearly, they are people who establish rules and policies to manage society, so their level of influence on us is not small. For instance, if there are too many violent movies on television, politicians can give a ban of broadcasting of these types of movies to diminish negative impacts on young people. In other words, politicians have a certain influence on other sides of lives.

In conclusion, I believe that media are playing an important role in our life and its influence on us is significant, but it cannot be replaceable the certain level of influence of politicians.

It is clear that knowledge is an important key which leads to success. Most people believe that university and college is the best environment to get that awareness. In addition, it is also a place that we can get new experiences to have best preparation for our career in the future.

The first reason people attend university or college is that they want to increase knowledge of their favourite fields. At high school, obviously you have to study too many subjects that you don't like or they are not useful for your future job. For instance, you want to be an accountant while you must study irrelevant subjects, such as literature or history. So, college is the best place where you can focus on your favourite section.

Secondly, at college, you will collect more new experience in life. For most students, they are people who live far away from home. Hence, they must get used to independent environment. As a result, they will accumulate more and more experience by themselves. Besides, the most important reason students want to attend university is career preparation. Apparently, today we are living competitive job market, growing knowledge and get more experience in university or college are to prepare for a good career in the future.

In conclusion, knowledge, experience, career are essential sides that young people today should concentrate on. Evidently, we can attain these sides effectively when we are studied at university or college.
