The bar chart illustrates the number of hybrid vehicle sold in Japan, United States and other countries from 2006 to 2009, a 4-year period. Overall, it can be seen clearly that the sales of this vehicles climbed significantly over the timeframe. In this case, United States displays the highest number of modern vehicles' sales, while others present a reverse.

To begin, there was 360,000 innovative vehicles were purchased by people in the world in 2006. This rate became more than twofold in 2009. Next, the majority of buyers come from United States. Initially the rate of hybrid vehicles' sales in this country was only 250,000. This rate rose dramatically by 100,000 in 2007. Afterwards, This felt slightly to 300,000 in the following year, but went up again to approximately 325,000 in 2009.

By contrast, the figure for the newest model of vehicles' sales in Japan stood at 50,000 in 2006. This figure was similar to other countries at the same time. Over the following two years both figures went up gradually. Furthermore, it increased rapidly to nearly 300,000 in Japan in the end of period whereas that was virtually unchanged in other regions in the same year.

Inventors are not as important to society as doctors.
To what extent do you agree with this statement?

Technology has developed rapidly these days because plenty of scientists work enthusiastically in order to find new inventions. Some people think that inventors are not more essential than physicians for human life, but I believe that this opinion is not completely true.

A number of people think that doctors give more merits for community rather than inventors because they can observe directly the positive effects of this job. For example, a person who suffers an illness such as common cold meets a medical doctor in hospital for getting treatment, then after two or three days he will be better. Most people acknowledge that medication and treatment given by them was help lots of people to keep fit and healthy. On the other hand, the benefits of inventors' existence cannot feel immediately by mankind since occasionally they need long time in discovering a novel invention.

However, I personally believe that people who work to invent something such as sophisticated farming tools, modern electronic devices and others also is very important. Many people obtain numerous advantages from their inventions. For instance, internet made people have much more conveniences such as ease in spreading information and helping students in their study. Although their roles cannot be seen directly, people cannot deny that they are extremely needed.

To conclude, Even though doctors show real merits for a lot of people like helping patients and keeping health community, the inventors also have big role in human live. It means that there is no work more important than other work, because every job has particular boon for other people.

A breakdown of Japanese citizens measured in millions is illustrated in the bar chart, whilst the table displays the percentage of people aged 65 and more from 1950 to 2025 as the projected year, a 150-year period. Overall, the number of people living in this country is predicted to decrease significantly after a gradual rise, but the total of old population will show an upward trend.

To begin, the rate of Japanese inhabitants stood at 84.1 million in 1950. This rate went up dramatically to 121 million in 1985, nevertheless it saw a gradual increase over the following 20 years. Before declining to 125.4 million in present year, the figure peaked at 127.8 million in 2005. Afterwards, this figure will fall sharply in the end of period.

On the other hand, the proportion of elderly people in Japan was just 4.1% in early period. This proportion became virtually fourfold in 2005. Next, it is forecast to climb considerably during the next years in which this will rise to 34% and 41% respectively in 2035 and 2055.

Some people like to travel to somewhere new and different when they go on holiday, while others prefer familiar places.
Do you think there are more advantages or disadvantages to visiting new places?

Plenty of people spending holiday by coming to one place or more every year. Several people like visiting similar sites in every their vacation period, while others choose to visit new and different places. Some people think that going to other locations where they never visit before has lots of drawbacks, but I personally believe that this give more benefits like experiencing new cultures and lifestyles, obtaining chance to try local cuisines and seeing different sceneries than drawbacks such as spending unexpected cost, and difficulty to find suitable foods.

There are reasons why people consider that visiting another city or country for holiday give a number of demerits. Firstly, travel makers cannot predict how much money that they need for it, so they can prepare budget properly before going there. Another reason is they will gain a difficulty for finding the appropriate dishes for their taste. For example, most Indonesian inhabitants when they go abroad, they are often cannot adapt with foreign foods that are odd on their taste.

However, holiday makers who come to new areas also get numerous merits. They will experience uncommon sceneries. It will make their vacation become more enjoyable and memorable. Apart of that, they will have chance to interact with local people who have different culture and lifestyle. In addition, they also will get opportunity to try out original or special food from one region.

To conclude, even though going to novel tourism places or unusual areas has some bad side for tourists, nevertheless I believe that its advantages are more than the disadvantages.

Modern forms of communication such as email and messaging have reduced the amount of time people spend seeing their friends. This has had a negative effect on their social lives.

To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Advancement of technology makes plenty of people can communicate with others via email or text. Although some people think that this development give harmful effect for people because they have less time to socialize with their close friends, I believe it is not fully true.

People think that the new ways of communication cause detrimental impact on human social live. This because most people prefer keep in touch with other people include their family members and their best friend by sending message or email than making a physical meeting with them or gathering together in one place to talk or share their problems. For example, a person can greet her friend by writing greeting message even though she do not attend to her birthday party. This fact prove that it make people have lack of social experiences.

However, this reason is not utterly acceptable because this sophisticated form of communication also offer many advantages in social relationship among communities. People living far away from their relatives can contact them regularly without squandering too much time and high cost. For example, an Indonesian student who is studying in Canada can tell his information by transmitting an email or a short message service (SMS) to his parents. It is more efficient, fast and cheap than he calls them by phone or send letter. Another benefit of modern communication method is most people obtain simplicity to spread information or news to other population because message or text on email or SMS may be copied, as the result they are not necessary to retype again the similar messages.

To conclude, the advanced way of communication has the bad effect for our social life, but it also provide some merits for society. As long as people can control its bad impact, they will gain lots of positive effect of this.

Televised talent shows have become popular in many societies today.
Are these shows a good method of finding talented people, or are they just entertainment?
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

Nowadays, the majority of audiences give much attention to the television programs regarding to the skilled people. Some people say these programs are the best way to discover people having extraordinary expertise, but I extremely believe that they are designed merely for fun.

People think those competitions created in order to looking for highly competent people. This because they believe these competitions can select the appropriate candidate properly. For example, In United States, there is a phenomenal contest well-known as American good talent in which a various skills are presented in it. This open larger opportunities for numerous people, not only the rich but also the poor, to compete with other candidates as singers, dancers, comedians, magicians or others without spending too much money and longer time. This fact proves that those events are the better manner to find people with amazing talent.

However, I strongly believe that skilled exhibitions in television is not made for tracing those discussed people, nevertheless these are planned as programs to entertain spectators. The main reason is that it has been shown by the winner is determined from the number of short message services sent by audiences. It is not fair because someone may be eliminated due to shortage of supporters delivering texts for him although he has very spectacular ability and able to amaze most of viewers. For instance, Muhammad Ihsan Tarore, a new Indonesian singer generated from a talent show four years ago, becomes a champion as he has more votes than his rival getting more backing from juries. There is no doubt that this is devotes for pleasure not for generating professional people.

To sum up, although some people argue televised talent contest is a brilliant method to find gifted people, I would argue there is reasonable evidence to demonstrate that this is not fully true. Therefore, it is necessary to explore the alternative approach for this case.
