been working on this for a bit, here are the requirments:
"Why are you a suitable candidate?"
Write in a clear and logical manner: remember, the way you write and present yourself says a lot about you.
Some points that may help you answer this question:
Why have you chosen to apply to this programme?
Why did you apply to study in Hungary?
What do you expect to gain from your studies?
Why does your background make you a suitable candidate?
How will the programme help you achieve your goals?
How does your proposed study relate to a particular development challenge or need at the global, national, and/or local level?
How will you apply your new skills and qualifications in the future?
What challenges would you expect to encounter while studying in a foreign country, and how could you prepare for these challenges?
my letter:
"
To the Admissions Board,
Starting my next chapter, I've chosen ELTE's Master of Science in Computer Science - specializing in Software and Service Architectures. My time at Kirkuk University, within the CSIT College, ended with an average of 78.48 in Networking. That period built something steady underfoot. Still, I soon realized that academic knowledge alone was not enough.
What drives me is making things built to endure. Code alone isn't the goal - what matters is whether it holds up. There was a time I poured weeks into setting up a full setup, only to wipe it out with a single line. It hit hard. Since then, my approach shifted completely. Resilience shapes every choice now, especially when things go wrong.
Professionally, I spent a year utilizing Python and Bash to develop ERP system infrastructure, followed by a year creating personal applications. These experiences demonstrated that functionality does not guarantee security or dependability. I am now committed to building systems with built-in resilience and security from the outset. Dependability and robustness have become my main goals, surpassing mere functionality.
I selected ELTE because the Software and Service Architectures specialization aligns with my goal of transitioning from self-taught skills to professional expertise. The curriculum will equip me with the knowledge to design secure and reliable systems from the outset. Additionally, I am drawn to Hungary due to the Stipendium Hungaricum program's emphasis on practical development. ELTE's program is the ideal opportunity to advance my career.
This study directly addresses an important need in my home region, Iraq, especially in the Kirkuk region, where digital infrastructure is unstable. Local industries and services frequently crash during high traffic. This challenge slows economic growth. My studies matter because Iraq needs engineers who can build 'crash-proof' systems to keep services safe and running for everyone.
Starting fresh somewhere unfamiliar isn't always smooth. Still, learning simple Hungarian phrases helps me catch what others say. Joining student circles feels like a steady path to connect with those around me. Being part of things socially makes settling in feel more natural.
Home in Iraq, applying lessons from ELTE seems like the obvious move - designing things to endure, not just function. Shifting attention from temporary solutions to long-term strength makes a bigger difference than people often think.
Sincerely,
"
