All education orders such as elementary, middle and high schools, colleges and universities must have curriculums for learning English. Also, English is used in most offices, restaurants...in big cities like Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh and in tourism places such as Da Nang, Nha Trang...Guides in English are usually offered. In addition, more and more people are studying English now. And many English Training Centres appeared to satisfy this. So everyone could study English at schools or at these centres.
English comes popular foreign language like that may be because its important role in new phase. Today most schools which have a good quality, ask a high English skill. So if you want to study at these schools, you must have a good English skill. If you are good at English, you can study abroad and look for scholarship more easily. Beside many companies ask your English, too. Now our country is in open phase, there are very much investment outside project, a lot of foreigners go to work in Viet Nam and may be you must go to work abroad. You need to know English for your job. If your English skill is good, you can get a well-paid job. In fact, many students missed out on well-paid jobs because their English skill were so limited.
In short, English has come second in the number of speakers after Chinese in the world, cosidering it a key to success in new phase.
