Describe how you are planning to contribute to your community using the knowledge you gained
Hi guys, this is my second threads which is still the same application as my first thread. Any input is appreciated.
Learning is a never ending process for me, more over related to the importance of building self development, to create future great leaders to contribute to the developments of nation and the large community which I'm being part of. Becoming great leader need leadership and I believe leadership is more than being in charge and managing people. Leadership is what separate good leaders from great leaders. It is the skills to create more new leaders
Participating in Global Leaders for Innovation and Knowledge Program will equip me with the knowledge and skills needed to become a future great leader. From the web site I saw that a full and systematic Management course includes Knowledge Management, Ethics, Concept Creation, Negotiation and many others. Although my major academic interest lies on Computer Science, I have been interested to improve my management skills since my professional career started. I have learned that beside technical skills, we also need management skills and this program at * will offer me the opportunity to improve it. Learning management would always seem to be an exploring experience, especially when the professional knowledge is applied with the usage of interdisciplinary understandings. Studying with diverse international experience in the world can offer me new perspectives to examine the system in my own community
Most people in my community belief with the quote "Always grab chances when they come". This is a good quote. But for me, we need more than just grabbing chances. With my global perspective and multi cultural sensitivity gained through this program, I'm going to influence people to "create" their own chances rather than waiting for them to come. My vision is to become a role model to encourage people to become innovative and creative. As a practice leader, I also want to empower others to develop professionally, succeed in their work, and advance their career.
For me, it will be vital that I can use my experience and knowledge gained to contribute to my community. I have the ability to not only perform what is asked of me, but to reach above and beyond any set expectations
By understanding the core module taught and used within the larger context from Multi-Campus network, my future goals is to develop a strategy to overcome the obstacle and challenges being faced, creating lots of leaders, making not only my life, but also a large number of people's life easier and more advanced.
Along with the scholarship opportunity, I believe it would allow me to achieve the goal that I could not have done by myself
