'Experience of performing French drama' - I don't know how to start and if my topic is right

hi, i'm going to write my application essays, but i don't know how to start and is my topic right. can you give me some helpful advices?

in the uc essays prompts, i chose the first one which is to describe the world you come from - for example, your family, community or school - and tell us how your world has shaped your dreams and aspirations. can i write about an experience of performing french drama to whole school. this is special to me because i'm too shy and don't have any confidence to myself, and in addition, to speak in a second language during the show. it really scared me at first, but i did try my best. after this, i have courage to overcome everything because i know there is nothing to be afraid of.

If not, perhaps it would be better if you can use another part of your world that has some sort of connection to the course you are applying for admission to.
