What matters to me? Actually, a lot matters to me. Family, friends, music, nature, making the most of each day, reaching my potential, solving problems, setting a good example, working with others towards a common goal, experiencing new things, and living by the golden rule. There are many more things that matter to me and I would be happy to expand on each as to why they matter. However, one of the things that matters to me most is the type of people that I seek out and endeavor to spend my life around. Everyone knows the saying "don't judge a book by its cover," and to me, what is on the inside is what truly matters. The traits the make up a person's personality, such as loyalty, respectfulness, honesty, and considerateness, is what defines who they are in my eyes. Those with these character traits along with a fun loving, but responsible personality, are the kind of people I strive to incorporate into my life. I have been told that I have a knack for pursuing meaningful friendships with those who have moral values, and I fully believe that these interactions are a necessity of life. The type of people I bring into my life truly matters to me, for placing myself among courteous and reverent people will allow for me to peruse my dreams and have the utmost support of those who care for me. I cannot stress enough the importance I feel of seeking out these kinds of relationships, for they have guided me through tough times, encouraged me to dream big, and most importantly, pushed me to be the best that I can be.
