"people who advanced despite nay-sayers" - Describe the world you come from

Hey, this is just the intro of my response. I was curious as to whether or not this response would be too broad compared to telling a story about my family (seems too common) or my experience joining and working with a FIRST team.

Prompt: "Describe the world you come from; for example, your family, clubs, school, community, city, or town. How has that world shaped your dreams and aspirations? (200-250 words)"

The world I come from is filled with people who advanced despite the overwhelming number of nay-sayers, stood firmly with their beliefs against all odds, and ultimately changed the world-people like Thomas Edison, the Wright Brothers, Walt Disney, and Socrates. These types of people inspire me to contribute something to the world.

It sounds great! Perhaps change around the last sentence to be more specific like stating exactly what sort of thing you want to contribute to the world.
