the word "stereotype" doesn't lie within me -note to your future roommate - Stanford

I would appreciate it if you took some time to look at this. I tried to make it sound as personal as possible and still maintain Stanford standards. I hope that worked. I also seem to have written over the character limit, so if you could look into what I could afford to delete, that would be great. Criticisms are welcomed, people.

QUESTION: Virtually all of Stanford's undergraduates live on campus. Write a note to your future roommate that reveals something about you or that will help your roommate - and us - know you better.

Hi roomie,

First off, I'd like to tell you that unnecessary drama and I don't walk with our fingers intertwined, because I'd rather not portray Soap Opera angst in my real life. Instead, I prefer grasping the joyful moments before they manage to escape. I am very sorry to inform you that my traits clash with each other, bringing various opposing personalities together to form the quirky, hopefully likable, person that I am. My idiosyncrasy of bursting out into spontaneous conversations provides an eccentric edge to my traits.

I have a deep passion for paintings and artists, but my drawing talents are limited to stick men. Honestly, my fascination in the arts was ignited after reading the Da Vinci Code (one of my ultimate favorite books), and it also attracted me to cryptography. The relish I possess towards mysteries and pyramids run through my veins, as Egyptian traits conquer my blood.

One of the most unusual attributes about me is my heritage. When people hear the place where my mother hails from, eyebrows are raised and various questions are asked. I'm the daughter of an Egyptian and a Turkestani, the recipient of numerous traits from both countries.

I find no interest in watching any form of sports, but I cannot begin to illustrate how much satisfaction I receive while I participate in them. However, I also find complete elation in reading books, especially ones that challenge my thoughts.

An obsession of mine is to be able to print memories in the lives of other people. I simply cannot permit one day to pass while I follow a certain routine. How could I enjoy every gratification that life has to offer if I walk along the same path every single day. As for my interests, I am fond of trying out new activities; therefore it wouldn't be a dilemma if you possessed different hobbies. As cliche as it sounds, I am almost positive that we'll "click together brilliantly."

I imagine that the word "stereotype" doesn't lie within me from everything I've mentioned above, and I cherish the feeling of enjoying a part of every world brought before me. It'll be a long walk down the path to graduation, and I hope, or I am most certain, that our lives will be joined with blissful moments as smiles are glued to our lips.

I've never seen relish used as a noun... In addition, I'm not sure if you should keep your contractions as they show voice or you should delete them. However I'd keep them just because it does show personality somewhat. But overall a really good essay in my opinion.

I looked it up; it can be classified as a noun.
Thank you! [=
