Promt: People behave differently when they wear diffrent clothes. Do you agree or disagree that different clothes influence the way people behave?

Clothing may influence the way people behave. People behave grandly while wearing tails, while the same person act boisterously when wearing jeans and tee-shirt. But this doesn't mean that the attire has changed his personality or psychological status as an individual. So, I think people behave differently when dressed in different types of clothing for the following reasons.

Different events require different style of dressing. Like a formal dinner require one to wear a suit, a meeting needs dressing in a day coat, while on a night out with friends a jeans is suitable. Similarly, on a Halloween party it is important to wear a costume, neither a suit nor jeans will do. These events don't only call for specific dresses but also for specific behaviors which are integrated with the dresses. Politely restrained behavior in a dinner suit whereas business-like in a day coat at a meeting is considered appropriate. The behavior determines ones understanding of different forms of dressing, and an individual with an in born style can carry all the dresses with perfection.

In addition to that, clothing is a representation of one's personality, culture and social status. As it can convey so many messages, it is considered very important to build characters in movies, television as well as in books. Merryl Streep, looked like a dedicated cook in "Julia and Julie" and like a boorish fashion magazine editor in "Devil wears parade". Such distinction in characters was part due to her influential acting and part due to the irksome work of her stylist and designer. So, clothing can be used as means of representing oneself as a different person.

Summing up, different people may wear similar clothes but they will behave differently. The dress represents an event which requires a specific attitude. However, the way an individual carries a dress is exclusive to him- or herself. Attire may also represent a character or culture, and it is deemed suitable to behave accordingly to make it look realistic.
