The chart illustrates comparison in the level of the reader at Burnaby public library from 2011 to 2014 based on sexes. Overall, it can be seen that over the period as a whole the figure of reader increased significantly. While the female reader decreased dramatically, the male reader grew sharply in 2014.
Female reader level stood at fairly 5000 in 2011. The trend increased considerably for the next two years and reaching the peak of approximately 10,000. However, they jump suddenly only 8000 which were almost 2 times than the starting year.
At 2,500, the male reader figure stood in 2011. They rose gradually to 4000 in 2012 which made distance more far with another reader. By 2013, they had grown noticeably to 10,000. Furthermore, the number was as same as the female reader number. It overtook female reader in 2014 and reached the peak of approximately 15,000. The number was six times than the first year.
