Ielts: "International Day" - Letter to the principal

You are in an English-speaking Country. A local college will be holding an "International Day" and is inviting some students, including you to give a short talk on some interesting things about the countries they come from. Write a letter to the principal. In your letter,

1. Tell him what topic you are going to talk about
2. Say why you think they will be interested in your topic
3. Ask for necessary information for preparing for the talk

Dear Sir or Madam,
I am so happy to hear the news that a great event "International Day" is going to hold at Sum college next week and it is an honor for me to give a speech in front of my classmates.

I am an international student and I have been studying in this country for nearly 2 years. My topic for this great day will be "The culture differences". First of all, as international students increasingly tend to come to this country to study, it is necessary for us to understand the different cultures from different countries in order to make friends efficiently. Secondly, understanding their cultures makes us desirable to travel to their countries to enjoy different life experience and traditional foods to enrich our life.

Moreover, I also would like to know when this even will exactly hold and what else should I include in my speech. If it is possible can you be so kind as to send me some relevant booklets related to this great event.
