Urbanization is an important ongoing process. Now larger proportion of our society is being fascinated by the process of urbanization.
We must acknowledge that urbanization is essential for development of a country.Urbanization helps to enhance economy of a country by rapid industrialization.Employment choices are increased for the youngsters. They need not to rely on the one type of industry only. They can choose from the different options available. Moreover educational standard , standard of living and financial status is also improving by the urbanization.
However no one can deny its negative side as well.Urbanization is attracting huge proportion of the village population to migrate to towns. For the sake of earning lots of money large number of village youngsters are moving to towns. So, number of people who work on the farmland to produce agriculture yield are going down. This migration of population from village to town is the most important cause of overcrowding in the cities. This is causing poor housing conditions, unemployment, price hiking in different markets and many more issues.
Though ,industrial development is good for a country's economy yet air pollution due to these industries can not be overlooked.Trees are cutted down for the sake of industrial development and housing. This is causing a worst impact on our atmosphere.Air quality is decreasing day by day.Globalization is the major cause of global warming.
I am agree with the authors view if the urbanization keep on going at the same pace then it can disturb whole of our environment. If more and more people will move to the cities who will be left in the villages.Who will be going to harvest new crops, who will maintain the beauty of nature.
So there must be some policies to deter negative effects of urbanization.
