Successful Lie

When a question asks how many people could say they never tell a lie in their past years; there is no one who can stand up, raise their hands and say that they have never lain before. People say that the truth about society is that lying is everywhere. Actually lies are happening everyday, but the reason for the lie is different from person to person. From the survey conducted for the East Los Angeles college research paper, one hundred percent of the applicants who participated said they had lied to other people before. Some of them would even lie to a person who is important to them, such as their family, best friends, and boss. Sometimes when people lie, it doesn't mean they are bad or dishonest. They lie maybe because they want to protect themselves, their family or friends. But no matter the reasons to force someone to lie, it's still a fact that it is a lie. It doesn't matter if it is big or small lie; the cause would be the same but is only the impact would be different. From the survey, eighty percent of people would not think of the consequence after their lie has been exposed. They don't even think that their lie would be exposing. The other twenty percent would think of the consequence but they still try to lie because they still have a chance to get a benefit from a successful lie. The successful lie could help the liar get their benefit; such as they won't hurt their family, friends or other people that are important to them. Also a lie can help them to hurt the people they don't like at all. Other benefits people would get though a success lie are money and job.

One fact that is known that a lie can do is that it can be created to hurt another person or persons. There are many reasons why someone would create a lie to hurt others. It could just be simply the lair doesn't like the other person, another reason would be to eliminate another person if who is competing with the lair for something by ruining the other persons reputation. These events would happen in a school, when large population of students interacts with each other, and they sometimes some students would not like other students. Because they don't like that person, they might lie about that person with some wrong information to make others not like that person as well. When they succeed to make some other students think that, that person is evil or something else bad. That person would to be misunderstood and exile by other people. There is another example that they lie to hurt other people. When two men, even though they are friend but if they both love the same woman, one of them might create lie about the other man to the women. When the lie succeeds it would make the woman lose feeling for the other man. This would help the liar to success to get the women, but hurts the other man in the process. Eighty percent of people that participated in the East Los Angeles College survey said they have lied about a friend, or family member before. Another ninety percent said a friend or family hurt them by a lie before. When a lie succeeds, it means lie becomes a fact for others. It really can make a person hurt from it, either mentally or physically. But not all lies are made to hurt someone. Some lies are proposed to make to spare others of hurt.

Malicious lies that will hurt people, but well-intentioned lies can make people happy or avoid unnecessary hurt. Sometimes people are forced to lie to a person in order to make them happy or feel better. This always happen around us, such as when a friend who want to hung out with other person, but that person isn't interested in going out so maybe that person will say a small lie like he or she have no time to out instead of refuse his or her friend immediately. This small lie would not hurt their friendship but give that person a reason for not going out. Also sometimes a female friend would want their friend's opinion about how she dresses or something about her beauty. Maybe their friends don't think that she is pretty, but they would agree with her and tell her a lie to make her feel happy and confident. In a college survey, all of the applicants said that they were laid to their parents when they were younger. There are many reasons that would cause them to lie to their parents. They want to avoid some punishment from the mistakes that they made. So they would lie to their parents, trying to hide the mistake or find other ways to change the information. Other reasons that they would lie would be because they don't want hurt their parents. Sometimes children would not do well on an exam or test which would disappoint because of all the effort and money their parent's pay for their children's education. They don't want to make them parents feel disappoint and upset, so they might chose tell them they got a good grade to make them happy instead of tell them the truth. No matter how was the lie, their propose would always try to protect the people they care. However, there are also many people who lie, because they have many incentives to.

There is no one would like to be a liar, but many people would chose to tell a lot of lie because it is a way that they can get benefit. In today's society, if a people who want to get a job, the first thing they need to have is a good resume. What would be needed for a good resume? It needs the person's personal information, working experience and their personal skills. It also includes their educations. For many people, if they want to apply for a job but that they don't have much experience. That company might not hire them, because they are not the best person they need. In this situation, many applicants might make up their working experience and personals skills to make sure the company would hire them. That is a lie to give them a better chance to get the job. A job is the benefit they would get. In a college survey, ninety percent think that it is necessary to make up their resumes under some situations. Sometimes a lie can help people get money from others. There are so many cases reported in the newspaper, such situations are about people being cheated by other people. People would try to lie to make other people believe them to gain their trust and then use that trust to steal their money. Many people don't even know how it happens and how it could happen but once it happens, all their money would be gone. Many companies are lying to people also. Their lie is to make their finical statements showing to the investor fake data, in order to get more investor to contribute their companies. These lies can make them get a huge benefit. Benefits are always the most important reason that force people to be a liar. Sometimes the successful lie could bring people the benefit more than they expect. This would change people from an honor to a liar. It makes people get used to be lie, because it always follows a benefit.

Lying occurs everyday by people from different ages, sexes, and ages. Their reason to lie differs from person to person. Some would lie just to hurt someone else; to spare someone from being hurt and some would just lie to get them a benefit that they wouldn't get otherwise. In today's society it may even seem that lying is a necessary thing. Lies usually have a very big chance to expos, because it is very hard to keep the fact to be a secret. However, there are still many lies in today's society. Because they all want the benefit, which is follow with a success lie. In the end it's the person that's making the lie that has to live with them. It's up to the individual person to see if they can live with the impact their lives would cause.

When a question asks how many people could say they never tell a lie in their past years; there is no one who can stand up, raise their hands and say that they have never lain before.

Ha ha, well, they COULD, but they might be lying again! Anyway, I think it should say "have never lied" instead of "have never lain."

Hey, what do you mean by "i sent to a wrong place" ???

Try like this:

When a questioner asks how many people can say they never told a lie in their past years, there is no one who can stand up, raise their hand, and truthfully say that they have never lied before.

The way to cite in MLA is like this:

From the survey conducted for the East Los Angeles college research paper, one hundred percent of the applicants who participated said they had lied to other people before (write the name of the author of that article here).

At the end of the paper, you'll have a list called Works Cited. Type MLA into google to get instructions about how to make the Works Cited list.

One fact that is known about lies is that they can be created to hurt another person or persons.

This sentence can be deleted: When they succeed to make some other students think that, that person is evil or something else bad . The essay is fine without it, and it does not make good sense.

Now, this is supposed to be a causal analysis essay, and you do a good job of focusing on the causes of lies, but you should add a sentence to the end of the first paragraph to tell the reader: This essay is intended to speculate about the reasons people lie -- even though nobody wants to consider himself or herself a liar.

GOOD LUCK!!!

Well, part of my job is to make sure the essays go in the right places. In this case, it seems more like a course work essay than an admissions essay, so I will keep it here for the sake of others who might learn from it. Good luck!!!!
