A comparison of the results of two surveys between 1997 and 2006 in term of people were asked about important communication skills for their occupations. It is clear that all kinds of communication skills experienced a growth during 1997 to 2006, except for an advising or caring for costumers or clients skill, it is one of the external communication skills.

In part of the internal communication skills, a largest change in the percentage of people asked from 38 percent to 47 percent is listening carefully to colleagues skill. Following this, instructing or training people skill also increase from 25 percent to 30 percent. In 1997, analysing problems together with others started at 20 percent and then it rose to 26 percent in 2006. On one hand, there was too a climb in persuading or influencing skill from 16 to 21 percent. Next, a small change is witnessed by planning the activities of others skill from 7 percent to 11 percent and there was only one percent of change for planning the activites of others skill.

Turning to the external communication skills, it consists of four aspects. A greatest rise of percentage appears in knowledge of particular products or service skill by 6 percent from 1997 to 2006. In the same period, dealing with people skill experienced a rising by 5 percent and advising or caring skill for costumers or clients was by 3 percent. However, a decreasing of percentage in selling a product or service skill is the only one from 24 to 21.
