Undergraduate / Three characteristics best describe me, how can they contribute to the college [4]

Can someone give some suggestions? or edit it for me? I will be appreciated. Thank youuuu very much!

The three characteristics that describe me the best is caring, optimistic, and mature. All three of them can give a good contribution to Boston University and build a productive relationship with people.

People around me said I am a caring person. I passionately care about my friends and family. I like to talk to them about their life and truly hear their voice. I hear them out when they need someone to talk to and try to help them. I not only help friends and family, but also the community. I spend my weekends volunteering in the hospital to help out patients. I am happy to listen to patients' life story and they love talking to me. I will contribute to Boston University with my caring heart by caring for students.

Personally I think I am an optimistic person. My friends always question how can I be so calm and positive in this situation? I answer, "Why look at the dark side when there is a bright side to look forward to?" I see the best in people. I want to bring students in Boston University optimism. Optimism gives people reasons to look forward to the future with a sense of hope. I encourage people to look at things positively. When things bother people, I cheer them up with a positive attitude and remind them to look at the good part of life. I am usually someone most of my friends can turn to for advice. Also when things are not going the way you wanted, optimism will not allow the negative thoughts to get into your head.

I found that I am a very mature individual. I am independent. I am not afraid to try and willing to learn from mistakes. In life, maturity plays an important role in it. I have a very clear mind all time. I will help people out when they need me. I always try to foster success for my friends. With my maturity level, I will deliver positive knowledge and make a good influence to students at Boston University.

Not only these characteristics I have, I also have creativity, enthusiastic, honest, confident, and humorous. Each of these characteristics can be developed. With all the qualities I have, I am looking forward to contribute to Boston University.

Undergraduate / 'trust, honor, and honesty' - Davidson honor code short essay [3]

Please help me with my poor essay. I am essays overwhelmed. I dont know what to do :( I am an international student so my english is not very good.

I will love your feed back please.

The Davidson community abides by an honor code that governs academic as well as personal life. Please refer to the Honor Code literature at davidson.edu/cms/Documents/AdmissionFinancial%20Aid/Honor.pdf. As a prospective member of our community, discuss the benefits and drawbacks of the Davidson Honor Code and your role in it.

Every student shall be honor bound to refrain from cheating (including plagiarism). Every student shall be honor bound to refrain from stealing. Every student shall be honor bound to refrain from lying about college business. Every student shall be honor bound to report immediately all violations of the Honor Code of which the student has first-hand knowledge; failure to do so shall be a violation of the Honor Code. Every student found guilty of a violation shall ordinarily be dismissed from the College. Every member of the college community is expected to be familiar with the operation of the Honor Code.

In my definition, Davidson honor code is based on trust, honor, and honesty.
The Davidson College community benefits both professors and students by assigning take-home test. Final exams are scheduled by each individual when he/she is ready. It is much easier if professors give a take home test for students without having to worry student's dishonesty. This world will also be much better if we don't have to worry about thieves or robbers. Davidson College uses honor code to maintain an environment so that they can cultivate students with leadership characteristics from a high standard. Davidson College offers a vast number of scholarships to reward students who work hard with honesty. For fairness and honesty, students should set the honor code as a role model and be honest. Lying is not a trait of honor students; Cheating is not the way to enrich our knowledge; stealing is not the way to live life. Davidson College strengthens students on being honest, building trust with the community, learning and improving for students own benefit. Davidson Honor code helps shaping students to be honest for the moral ethic and also create a secure environment for everyone.

The greed always makes one down in ethic. The only drawback of the honor code is that some students might want more awards or better grades without studying hard. They might cheat and break the code without anyone knowing.

To make the honor code work, each individual needs to follow the rules. Davidson College is an ideal learning environment. In order to keep the honor code, the maintenance plays the key role. To me, as a prospective student, I will follow the honor code and take it seriously. Also furthermore defending for the honor code and never tolerate any violation behaviors. I believe after keep emphasizing the importance of the honor code and never tolerate any dishonesty; it will foster a mature, responsible community and form a great climate at school that would not allow any cheating or violation behaviors.

Knowing students at Davidson is bound with honor; it allows students to spend their time learning, pursuing their dreams, and enjoying every moments at Davidson. Only if all the members give the honor code high respect and be loyal, the honor code will be well kept

Thank you for reading it :)

Writing Feedback / Toelf essay Some people believe that success comes in life from taking risks [4]

In conclusion, the use of careful explicit planning has more benefits than one of taking risks or chances . You most likely cannot pass an university exam within a month without studying hard, cannot be quickly accustomed to a real work without experiences, and cannot be friendly with other people working in a office, which results in resignation in the end.

Hi :) I am actually a international student and I took TOEFL test this year. I had the exact same question on my writing section.
I am not sure what you mean by "cannot be friendly with other people working in a office"
Good job!

Undergraduate / describe an event, (color day) [2]

Can someone edit it for me or give some feed back, please? I will appreciate your help..Thank you! thank you! :D

Reflect on a group of which you have been a part and describe an experience where the group had to draw on the different experiences and backgrounds of its members in order to achieve its goal.

In my high school, there is a traditional event called color day. We split students into groups and compete with each other in different activities. Each group needs different members to represent their team in the activities. The activities are Dance Off, Trivia, Eating contest, Build a tower, Rap contest, Racing, capture the flag, tug of war...etc. In my team, we selected teammates that are the most qualified for each contest to be our representative. I am on a team of students with diverse backgrounds. This diversity in our team means we have some members who are good at academics, art and theatre, and sports. I am a very athletic girl who plays all kind of sports. I was one of the representatives in the racing event for our team. I also did the eating contest because I am an amazingly fast eater and also enjoy food very much. The last two activities were tug of war and capture the flag. Both activities require teamwork. Everyone has their strengths, for example, I run very fast so I was the forward on capture the flag game. As a team we discuss strategy and everyone has a special job. If we were all the same we would not be as strong as we are having diverse strengths. For tug of war, the team arranged position based upon ability. The person who is the strongest or heaviest stood in the back or the person who has more experiences with tug of war was in front. For example, I used to play tug of war as a competition in Taiwan so they put me in front. As a team, we built our confident by cheering for each other during the activity; as a team, we did our best and not let the team down. We didn't win all the activities but everyone tried their best and put all their efforts toward winning. In the end, we were the team that won the color day champion. It was an amazing and unforgettable experience.

Thanks for reading it=]

Undergraduate / Stanford essay: Don Quixote... HELP [2]

was fourteen years old when I first read "The Ingenious Hidalgo Don Quixote de la Mancha" by Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra and I've changed since then. I have always been an active learner in the arts and cultures

And as I have learned about Cervantes, his passions, and his thoughts, I realized that languages are what I want to learn aboutfocus on ;not only because if masterly used, languages allow to alter facts, as seen in politics, but also because one way or another(no matter what) languages will help me achieve my aspirations to become a multi-lingual and multi-cultural lawyer.

Good job :)
