A Wind Turbine for Harnessing Renewable Energy

The diagrams below show the design for a wind turbine and its location.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons were relevant.


These diagrams illustrate the structure of wind turbine and where it can be placed. In general, while the machine appears to be a simple technology, it effectively harnesses renewable energy.

The construction consist of two main features, a steel tower and a fiberglass or wood blades that are connected each other with a wind generator and a wind sensor sending information to computer which control the direction and angle of the blades. The process starts when wind blows passing the blades. In result, it turns around and its movement produced 1.5 megawatts for each wind turbine and 100 kilowatts for one domestic turbine.

The turbine can be established at sea floor, and in this case its blades will be at low landscape where the wind blows slowly. Alternatively, the turbine can be set on the top of a hill so as to get maximum wind strengths. The higher location of the turbine, the stronger wind which come to, and more electricity can be generated.

Overall, you have a pretty good writing. I am okay with your skill in managing paragraphs. Finally, I cannot find any mistake in your writing, but 'small slips'.

As a result they can be involved in prestigious students in the university.

First of all, I reckon you forgot to put a comma here.

Therefore, they can be easily to apply for vacancy in different countries as employers particularly from Multinational Companies are highly considered people who have different degrees compared to their original passport culture.

Then, I think you don't need to use uppercase in "Multinational Companies". Also, we probably should pay more attention in complex sentences, since sometimes we unintentionally write a confusing sentence. Here, I think actually you mean "...multinational companies who considers more highly people holding a degree from a university outside their original passport culture."

Dear midori,
In general, I found it is a pretty good essay. I can just point out small slips;

The turbine consists of blades, wind sensor which is used to manage speed and direction, and generator.

I think you forgot to mention 'steel tower' here.

However, wind turbine tends to be lower and less wind strengths only 100 kilowatts, so landscape not spoilled.

I reckon '100 kilowatts' is not for strengths of the wind but for the electricity which is generated by the wind turbine.

The media pay too much attention to lives and relationships of celebrities such as actors, singers or footballers. They should spend more time reporting the lives of ordinary people instead.

To what extent do you agree or disagree?


Human's lifestyle is most influenced by media. For that reason, some of communities suggest the media should inform more common people's stories than those of famous people such as actors, singers or footballers which lately become media's focus. While I firmly believe that celebrities' stories can positively influence society in obtaining their successful lives, I personally argue that by exposing more ordinary people's stories, the media are able to encourage society to have a low-profile character and facilitate them to improve their social awareness.

I would argue that the stories of common people exposed by the media lead society to be low-profile as a person does a multi-modal learning while they are watching and reading information from the media. A related study shows that such a kind of learning process can lead the learners remembering ninety percent of the whole information. It is because this process activates all learning modalities such as visual, auditory, and kinaesthetic learning and provides a real context at once. As result, this low-profile value which is contained can fully be delivered and absorbed by the audience.

In addition, the reports of common people's life are closely related to a high social awareness of community since it exposures people by the daily life of the ordinaries that develop genuine empathy. It was proved in South Africa which set a television drama series for social change, titled Soul City. Consequently, the society became more aware of social and health issues and were prompted to help each other. It is proved that media's focus on common people stories tends to generate a worldwide benefit.

Conversely, those of the celebrities will influence people to acquire their success harder. The more the people are exposed by the achievement stories, the bigger they have internal motivation. Therefore, the society are one step closer to their successful lives. There is no doubt that such media reports have a remarkable advantage.

The aforementioned evidence shows that reporting stories about the famous can lead people to their success, while the community will benefit greatly if they are exposed more by those of the common people. However, I strongly believe both kinds of information can be reported in a balance proportion in media. Where possible, media should not put too many scenarios in the stories so as to emphasize their real sense.

Art is a product of human expression and for this case government should give the amount of finance to promote and cultural activities because these activities are countries symbol so as to prominent for them to preserve properly these activities.

you probably had a typo here.

To exemplify, traditional dance such as "Reog Ponorogo" in Indonesia is the famous traditional activity in Indonesia. By this truly fact, all countries around the world recognize well that this country is original from Indonesia. Automatically, this is a significant symbol which is owned by Indonesia. Consequently, the development of culture and artistic is in government's hand.

It feels like there is too much repetition and it can probably be clearer and more effective. Thank you.

The chart below shows the percentage change in the share of international students among university graduates in different Canadian provinces between 2001 and 2006.

This bar chart shows the figure for share of global students among various universities in some provinces in Canada recorded in 2001 and 2006 and measured in percentage. Overall, all provinces witnessed a significant increase in the number of international university graduates, while New Brunswick experienced the highest percentage of that in each year.

According to the data, there were three provinces which had more than 5% international university graduates in 2001; New Brunswick (7%), Nova Scotia (6.5%) and Quebec (6%). Those percentage then increase to above 8% in 2006, at slightly over 8% in Quebec, 11% in Nova Scofia, and the highest percentage of 13% was New Brunswick.

Other four provinces which initially had just under 5% of international university students, experienced the fairly similar increase, up to 7% in 2006. Surprisingly, in the same year, British Columbia reached the percentage of over 11%. It overtook Nova Scotia's (10.5%) which had almost twofold portion of international graduates more than British Columbia's in 2001.

Students at school and university learn far more form lessons with their teacher than other resources, for example internet and television.
For what extent do you agree or disagree?


Learning process can be done by using various resources. Some students mostly obtain knowledge form their teachers instead of internet or television as such resource can be accessed easily. However, it can be argued that more students are encouraged to use the others, such as internet and television, because of the advance of technology and some improvement in education.

Some conventional schools which still implement teacher-centered learning indirectly lead the student to rely on the teachers. This is because students can every day see their teachers, and the teachers always provide students with all information they need instead of stimulate their inquiry mind. A good example for this can be seen in the number of elementary schools in developing country, Indonesia, where teachers always give a direct answer for every question from their student, and do not ask their student back with the question that challenge them to find the answer by them selves.

On the other hand, students are now provided with the high technological devices that allow them to access worldwide information effectively. This advance of technology have been working alongside the improvement of education methods such as student-centered learning which now are more often applied in schools. Even from elementary school, children are now accustomed to investigate their material deeply by using internet, television, and other resources. This is proved in a study conducting in UK that pointed out 98% of primary school students do small research online to acquire full grasp of their lessons.
