Writing Feedback / Toefl- For future career success, relating well to other people is more important [4]

Topic: For future career success, relating well to other people is more important than studying hard at school.

Being successful in one's career is everyone's dream, because it guarantees an worriless and happy life. However, there are few people who can achieve this goal while others do not. As a result, how to become successful in the future has raised people's concern. Some people think that they should follow the same pattern of others because of a lucky case is right here; though, others believe they should study harder at school, instead. In my opinion, I would agree more with the latter idea.

First, the success of everyone's career is case by case. In other words, every individual has his/her own life, experience and interest, the path to success should be different. For example, we all know that Bill Gates is a successful man in his career. However, what if you are really good at painting? It is impossible for you to follow his idea and behavior because it does not belong to your gift. If you force yourself to do what you don't originally adapt to, the consequence must be very painful. Therefore, in terms of different character, I don't think it is a good idea to mimic other people.

In addition, if we always repeat what other had done, we will lost our creativity in the end. That is to say, we don't think anymore and this condition must lead us into death. Take a big company as an example. One day, someone must take over this company when the present boss is going to retire. However, if the new leader always follow the old rules without any adaption, the economic condition of this company must be very dangerous. Things change very quickly so do people's need. As a result, a good decision maker should always observe the trend of this changing society and this would continue the smooth operation of the company.

Therefore, combining the two factor mentioned earlier, I would prefer one's success attributed to his/her hard work at school. In school, we can not only absorb the basic knowledge from the books but also have an overall review on great men's success. Then, after internalizing these experiences and information, you could develop your unique way for career success.

Writing Feedback / IELTS Whether country needs to develop its traditional skills, arts and way of life? [4]

I think I try my best for some corrections.

Modern culture is a consumeristic one and does not have interest in skills, arts, crafts and way of life. People show keen interest in latest form of technology. ayurvedic medicines and joint family system are likely to disappear.

A good blend of traditional skill and technology will only do good in the long run. Even though the advancement in medical fields such as preventive medicines, scanning, keyhole surgery and laser treatment have benefited mankind, our traditional ayurvedic medicine has a significant role in modern man's life.

Writing Feedback / Art museums and music performance centers or recreational facilities? [5]

Do you agree or disagree that with the following statement? It's more important for the government to spend
money to build art museums and music performance center than to build recreational facilities
(such as swimming pool, playgrounds).

I think both of them are equally important to satisfy the needs of people and of course there is no one can deny the significance of them. However, I think there should be a priority for recreational facilities rather than the other one.

For recreational facilities, they are open and even free to people and a government only need to spend less money than building an art museum. And therefore, from economical factor, the government spend a small amount of money and all the people live there can be directly benefited by these facilities. Furthermore, people could have better physical condition and unlikely to get sick. Hence, building recreational facilities is really a preferred choice for a government.

However, in addition of outdoor activities, indoor activities are evenly dispensable. Though some of the performance may charge, there are still some people willing to pay for their requirements for entertainment and relaxation. For example, I like to play basketball outdoor but also I love to enjoy the atmosphere of a piano performance. As a result both of them are considered an important role to balance my tedious life at school.

In conclusion, it is not proper to judge which one may dominate because it is not necessary to build another art museum or recreational facility if one of them is saturated in certain area. So, in my opinion, if a country lack both, I will recommend them to build recreational facilities first because they are basic needs for local people.

Writing Feedback / Toefl : Teachers should not make their social or political view known to students.. [5]

Teachers should not make their social or political view known to students, do you agree or not, explain why.

We all know that a country must have many political parties to sustain the stability of society. Therefore, people live in that country may reflect their voices in order to register their dissatisfaction or agree on some policies. However, I don't think that teacher should make their social or political view known to student, because it leads to many problems. In the following, I'll state my opinion.

First, it will lower the quality of education to some extent. Because if a student hold a different view toward a policy which the teacher favor, they may end up with fight. Based on this situation, the student may dislike the teacher and won't pay attention to what the teacher teach in class. So, making political views known to student will lower the student's motive for learning.

Second, it is not proper for teachers discussing their views. After all, most of teacher are not major in politics, so their ideas may not correct. In their opinion, they think once it can express their idea objectively and then it will be beneficial to students. However, if they can not analyze some event in a more professional way, their student will have the wrong concept toward something. As a result, I don't think it is good for student being exposed to teachers' political view.

From the former idea, it may also leads to my third point. Even though their ideas are correct and perfect, it may somewhat distract students' attention on studies. Because there is so much new information in class, it is possible for them to concentrate on the political issue rather than their studies. So, it will do harm to their learning.

In conclusion, making political view known to student will lower the quality for education and has a negative effect on their studies, so I strongly oppose the idea.

Writing Feedback / Follow the customs of the new country you are in, or keep your own customs? [4]

Topic: When people move to another country, some of them decide to follow the customs of the new country. Others prefer to keep their own customs. Compare these two choices. Which one do you prefer? Suppor your answer with specific details.

When moving to a new country, there are always something new which may elicit your interest in. However, if you change your original surrounding to a new place, it will be another topic. After all, it is a place where you may live for the rest of your live. Hence, some new customs may be troublesome for most people who just move in. In the following passages I will discuss whether we should adapt to the new ones.

I believe most of the people are getting used to the old tradition for the reason that they had spent lots of time in their hometown. Therefore, they may tend to follow their original habits without changing because they are something they use to memorize their home. For example, the foreign students in Taiwan. They don't celebrate the holidays during the Chinese New Year, but they have their owns special holidays in certain periods. I think it is OK, because they do not violate something at all. And it is indeed a way for them to get united.

However, there are parts of people willing to accept the new costume for the reason that they could embrace more new friends and culture. Take my friends as a good example. They don't tend to eat outside after 10 o'clock at night. However, here in Taiwan, it is commonplace for most people to grab something in the night markets especially before sleeping. At first, they seem it is a strange habit. However, they become to accept this new idea gradually and think it is a wonderful thing. Therefore, we often talk a lot and eat together.

Indeed, they are some people stick to the old tradition but others are not. I think only not crossing the line regulated by laws will it be acceptable to everyone. After all, everyone has their right to do something they want.

Writing Feedback / Whom in your country would you choose to build a statue for? [3]

Your city has decided to build a statue or monument to honor a famous person in your country. Who would
you choose? Use reasons and specific examples to support your choice.

A statue or monument is something that is meaningful to us. Thus, if I am asked to choose a person on behalf of our city, there is no doubt that I will choose Chen Shu-chu as a rightly candidate because she is good-hearted, modest and never surrender to her life.

She was selected as one of the Time 100 in the Heroes category. Not because she did something brave to save people's lives, but she donates most of her incomes to charity and someone in need of help. Being a vegetable vendor in a market, it is unlikely to have enough money to lead a decent life. However, she generously gave all the money. Because she thought that only did money spend on someone who truly need then it became meaningful. It is indeed a thoughtful idea and we should really take it seriously.

Besides being kind, she is also modest. Not until the TV reported her great behavior did we know this thrilling news. She never boasted about how much she donated but she kept selling her vegetable as usual. It is a great attitude everyone should follow. It is hard to imagine if everyone shows off everyday what will it be in our society.

Last, by this report we realize what was happening on her. She lost her parents when she was young, and therefore she was responsible for the economy in her family. She was not only conquered the fate to sustain her family but she also help her brothers finish their studies in university. It is really a good example for us. Once you never give up, you may succeed in the end.

In conclusion, what she had done have an influential impact on our lives and set an good example for our generation. Hence, it is without doubt she is the best one for a statue.

Writing Feedback / Toefl- Should school buy computers or books? Both are indispensible in our lives [3]

Topic: Your school has enough money to purchase either computers for students or books for the library. Which should your school choose to buy computers or books? Use specific reasons and examples to support your recommendation.

Both Books and computers are indispensible in our lives, especially during the learning stage. However, if a school now needs to purchase something to enhance the quality of education, I will prefer to buy books rather than computers for a couples of reasons.

First, books are much less expensive than the high-technology commodities, such as computers. After all, a school could not have money as much as a big company, so the financial problem could be a critical factor. For example, a computer may cost 500 US dollars but a book may need only 10 US dollars. Besides, books are more easily to maintain in a good state; however, a computer may tend to be attacked by computer viruses. Therefore buying books could help a school to save more money.

In addition to the economic factor, the authorization may also be a big issue. With rapid development of Internet, one can easily have access to much information they want. But here comes a problem. Is the information on the Internet reliable? I think most of them are only published on some blogs or bulletin board systems, hence they can not be considered as correct answers to your problems. So it will be more practical to buy some authorized books.

Finally, we should talk about the library. Every school must have one on campus. So, the importance of library cannot be overemphasized anymore. Also, many people use books there and study for a long time. The more books the library has, the more sources they could tap. If they don't have enough books, I think students may not be willing to go there anymore.

In conclusion, if a school would buy books instead of computers, they would save more money and offer a better quality for learning. I think it is a win-win situation to both schools and students.

Writing Feedback / TOEFL - Parents have many useful ways to help their children to prepare their adult life [3]

there can be no doubt that taking a part time job is not the best way for children to prepare for their adult life.

Taking into account all of these aspects(Taking all of these aspects into account) , I believe that parents have many useful ways to help their children to prepare their adult life instead of finding a part time for them. That is not to say, of course, that others points of view are without merit. However, I hold that the reasons I have provided in favor of my standpoints are stronger.

There are not many grammar errors in this article actually, but there is a repeated sentence"prepare their adult life"
Maybe you could make some changes such as "which is better(beneficial for their adult life)"

Writing Feedback / Exploring outer space, governments should spend as much money as possible? [4]

Full Title :
Some people think governments should spend as much money as possible exploring outer space (for example, traveling to the
Moon and to other planets). Other people disagree and think governments should spend this money for our basic needs on
Earth. Which of these two opinions do you agree with? Use specific reasons and details to support your answer.

spend this money on the earth!

Here's my article. Please give me some suggestion, thanks a lot.

I do not agree that governments should spend as much money as possible to invest the development of outer space. According to the report, we all know the tough situation of people in Russia because of large amount of money spending for the exploration of outer space. Hence, it is more appropriate to spend this money for our basic needs on earth. There are couples of reasons why I embrace this point.

It is more down to earth to fix the problem of people's living condition. People who live not only in Russia but also many countries are leading a miserable life, hence what they need is to satisfy the basic needs for life. So if they don't need to worry about their lives in the future, there will be less financial problems for the government and the whole society will get better off in the future. I think this is the basic function the government should provide.

In addition to the economic issue, the issue of alternative energies could be another problem. If governments spend most money searching an appropriate planet for people to live in, they will have limited funds to support to investigation of this project. Based on many studies, the amounts of oil may exhaust in this century, therefore if we don't have alternatives in our hands, it's hard to imagine how we can survive in a such condition. For the reason, I strongly recommend to spend more money on the issues which are related to earth.

Based on the issue of alternatives energies, it also bring another problems. Since the government find a planet which is able for people to live in, is it impossible to move all the people to the new place ? It could be far away from the earth, so it's unlikely for people to get there. What is more worse, the government end up with nothing. Because the studies of finding a suitable planet has investigated for many years, it is very likely finding nothing in this infinite space.

In conclusion, it is impractical to spend as much money as possible on outer space because it may be a waste of money and may deteriorate the quality of lives. On the contrary, spend this money on the earth could fix all these problems.
