Samboja Lestari is a small village, located on the East coast of Borneo, about 35 km north of Balikpapan-East Kalimantan.
Samboja Lestari, East Borneo, one of the places for rescuing orangutans and forest. In 2001 BOS started buying barren pieces of grassland in Samboja and began an ambitious project to bring the local forests back to this area. The Samboja Lestari program participates strongly in community development through a wide range of activities including providing employment within various projects, giving opportunities to the local community by involving them in agroforestry practices, and providing training.

Mimes use movements, gestures, and facial expressions to portray a character or an emotion to tell a story without words. Mime can be a combination between abstract and literal. The abstract mime usually has no plot or central character but simply expresses a filling such as sorrow or desire. On the other hand, the literal miming tells a story and is often comedy, using body gestures and facial expressions to present the main character facing some type of conflict in a humorous way, for example, acting out a tug-of-war without an aid of a rope or other props.

Buster Keaton and Charlie Chaplin, superstars of the movie era, sharpened their miming skills in the theater before using them in movies. People still consider Charlie Chaplin a master of the mime technique that was "Little tramp" character, also known as slapstick.

Another twentieth-century, Etienne Decroux, French mime and acting teacher, developed corporeal mime. This art focused on the body, showing thought through movement, and became the prominent from of the modern mime era.

Ancient civilization attributed the original of writing to the gods. Ancient Mayans, Sumerians, and Assyrians believed writing original with certain gods. Humans began painting pictures on cave walls 25,000 years ago or more. Writing systems developed independently in at least three different parts of the world: Mesopotamia, China, and Mesoamerica.

The oldest writing systems developed among the ancient Sumerians in Mesopotamia around 3000 B.C. The oldest form of China writing was around 1500 B.C. It called oracle bone script because it was carved on animal bones and shells. The Chinese writing system was also the original basis for both the Japanese and Korean writing systems. In Mesoamerica, ancient Mayans, scholars believed that writing in that part of the world may have begun before the rise of Mayan civilization.

Today, three-quarters of the world's adult population can read and write, and literacy in considered a basic skill necessary to function in the modern world.

Before electricity, flames cast limited light, are vulnerable to winds and weather, and can lead to disaster. The early trains travelled only during the day because the tracks were too dangerous during the dark of night. In the late 1830s, railroad traffic became heavy enough for freight trains to delay passenger trains that trains started running freight trains at night. Haratio Allan's 1831 innovation, the "Track Illuminator," used a pile of pine knots burning with an iron. In 1841, some trains used an oil lamp backed by a curved reflector but oil lamps blew out easily in the wind.

In 1851, the first electric headlamp was developed. This headlamp had two major drawbacks: it required its own generator, and the delicate parts broke easily as a result of the rough rails over which the trains traveled. The French first used steam generators to power electric headlamps on trains. In the United States in 1897, George C. Pyle developed an efficient electric headlamp. By 1916, Federal law required trains to have electric headlamps.

The requirements for car headlamps were more stringent then trains. Despite these tougher requirements, the Colombia Electric Car was equipped with electric headlamps in 1898. Electric headlamps made travel at all hours and in almost all weather possible, something we take for granted today.

The ancient Romans were the enjoy the circus. Around sixth century the circus was founded in Roma for public entertainment such as chariot races, gladiator fights, and exhibits exotic animals; elephants and tigers. The Roman Empire built the venue for the circus performance that is entirety of wood.

Secondly, Philip Astley, Englishman, founded the first modern circus during the late 1700s. He performed to make people in England popular establishing Louis XV wish him to show his skill in France. Hi later expanded his act to include clowns, acrobats, and parades of trained animals. Joshua Brown, American businessman, introduced the circus tent in 1825. He used portable tents for his performed all over the countries that was a massive success as a business enterprise and was loved by audiences.
