Scholarship / Personal statement; I am applying to Pharmaceutical Analysis and QC one-year masters course [2]

Hello. I am applying to Pharmaceutical Analysis and QC one- year masters course in King's College London via Chevening scholarship. I did not apply to the college itself yet as I am currently preparing my SOP. This is its very first draft. Should I prepare three different versions for the three universities?

Please provide me with your help knowing that I copied from my answers of the 4 essay questions of Chevening application, which might be considered not so good. What are the main modifications that I should do and what should I mainly include to make a unique one. Tell me if I need to resend it to you after applying the modifications. Thanks a lot for your time and efforts.

I would like to complete my postgraduate study for the achievement of integrated and corroborative academic level and link it with profession or career life. Developing acquired knowledge from my previous work experience and taking it to higher levels is also crucial. My aim is to make difference in the pharmaceutical industry field and initiate a career project in which the recent updates are applied. As far as I am considered, my undergraduate studies in analytical chemistry, pharmaceutics and pharmaceutical chemistry were the very first basis of the Pharmaceutical Analysis and Quality Control course, and from which my career goals can be achieved as well. When I was an undergraduate student, the drug profile graduation project reflected skills of cooperation, team work and flexibility, as it was considered one of the twenty most distinguished projects that were presented in the graduation ceremony in 2014. The explanation of its idea came through making visual creative skills represented in a 3D cube on which all the profile details are explained thoroughly and made easily to be memorized.

Concerning my work experience, it is very involved to this course. Through almost two years, I was able to recent techniques about analysis and implementing them for raw and packaging materials evaluation. This is represented in physical and chemical tests, and using diversity of analysis methods such as HPLC, Gas chromatography and Ultra Violet Spectroscopy for qualitative and quantitative determination of materials which are considered the basics to study recently updated courses of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Also, developing knowledge through on-job trainings that focus on latest technology in Quality Control field and soft skills like time management, communication, decision making and problem solving.

I will benefit from this course by learning the fundamentals of analysis and principles of Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) in the pharmaceutical field. Also, along with remarkable achievements in the research section, well equipped laboratories are provided in addition to a range of modern and recently updated techniques and instruments that will add to me a great value and knowledge about how these could be applied by a professional way in the QC field, which I surely need to achieve the best performance in pharmaceutical industry.

About my career goals, first of all, in the next five years, I seek to be a highly qualified QC analyst or researcher in the multinational corporations or institutions that targets on implementing the know-how of pharmaceutical analysis and researching to develop a perfect dosage form for most of the drug types, which I really want to achieve in my higher studies. They also should provide all required facilities to apply and develop recently learned techniques in my UK master's program to be a value-add to them.

Not only are my career goals represented in developing in the pharmaceutical field, but also spreading the awareness of the importance of scientific research and thinking. I believe that it is important to consolidate the concept of scientific research in the whole of Egyptian society. So, my second goal together with the main one is to continue being a scientific consultant or advisor in SCITA group that I belonged to in college which founds science -based conferences, workshops and seminars in all parts of Egypt to develop innovative and remarkable generation in the field.

Not to forget about UK reputation and accomplishments in the pharmaceutical field. This country is considered the most appropriate to help me achieve my career goals. The reason is because it is one of the most prominent ones in the healthcare generally, and makes cooperation with relevant organizations such as the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) and European Medicines Agency (EMA).

Consequently, after clarifying the reasons for choosing this course, I assume that this is the most convenient course that should be studied and considerably related to my passion and career goals. This will help and contribute in UK-Egypt pharmaceutical programs development. Also, I will be able to acquire great knowledge in pharmacy basics and implement them in the industrial field in Egypt, with the best quality of values, acquired skills and ethics as well.

Writing Feedback / The information in regard to the number of people who attended 3 London museums between 2007-2011 [2]

My opinion about the ideas that could be discussed in this chart is two things:
1-you can do exactly what you have done by showing the remarkable counts in certain years , like in 2011 and 2012
2- you can also show in general which museum has the highest number of visitors and which one has the lowest among the whole study period

Hence, you can choose either points or combine these two ideas in one essay

Scholarship / Leadership and influence skills before graduation and in the light of my professional career [3]

Leadership and influencing skills

Hi there. This is my answer to leadership question. I made it today and I hope that it does not have major changes. I know that the Chevening deadline is very approaching and I would be thankful if you could post all of the defects in one paragraph and I will make the required edits in one shot instead of posting many times. Thanks a lot for your concern.

I always say that the key of success is not only in achieving your dream in career, but also in the way of how you reached it. It surely depends on quality not quantity. So, when I talk about leadership and influence skills, I will point out them in the light of my professional and before graduation as well.

In my current workplace, the performance of the department where I work was going very good and the flow of work was rather convenient till our section head had to leave his position unexpectedly due to personal issues and, the turnover of analysts increased. What happened then is that the production campaign was extensively augmented and more work was assigned to me. The company also had to face audits and manage this with the main work tasks. I was in this harsh situation till almost no one but I remained in the department. For a long period, I had to work extra hours in many weekends to make up for all the defects that resulted.

Immediately, I thought of setting up a plan to save this situation. I took the advantage of some learnt skills in the on-job trainings such as time management, communication, decision making and problem solving skills as well as cooperation, team work and flexibility. A short-term plan was first established to finish the postponed analysis work and documentation required to be handed over to our Quality Control manager and other connected departments. A long-term one was established to organize the work flow and improve the quality of documentation, the outcomes and purposes of analysis tests and the qualifications of the analysts themselves. Freshly graduated analysts were hired and I was assigned to be their mentor. I was capable of teaching them the bases of quality control along with finishing all required materials analysis. I also taught them all I could from these learnt skills, especially time management (pareto principle) and SWOT analysis of the situation.

I would rather say that I, with cooperation and leading the new analysts, have successfully accomplished the short-term plan in around two or three months. And for the long-term one, a considerable amount was fulfilled and we are currently working on it to make it be fully accomplished in a good timing. Furthermore, I had great results in my annual appraisal and appreciation from our manager.

Considering before graduation, I was the scientific consultant of an organization called SCITA: Science, Creation, Imagination, Technology, and Application. Its values are professionalism, teamwork, integrity, leading change and commitment. That was one of the main factors that made me influence and inspire other colleges to implement these values in their thinking and research.

The outcome of this is that I see myself as a good leader in the future that cooperate with colleges, co-workers or even professors to achieve any values , aspects or ethics ultimately and with perfection.

Writing Feedback / It can be seen the variability of the annual expenses by a school in the United Kingdom [4]

A nice representation to the data. In my opinion, task 1 could include either sorting data by years, countries, gender, etc... or by showing major differences in certain parameter or topic. I see that you can show this in the furniture and equipment item, but it does not necessarily have to occur. Keep it up!

Scholarship / Connections and socializing are the main factors that make all the world countries communicate easly [2]

Hi everyone. I recently wrote my answer to the chevening networking skill question. Hope you find it well. Thanks for your help.

NETWORKING QUESTION
Chevening is looking for individuals with strong networking skills, who will ...

Connections and socializing are the main factors that make all the world countries communicate together, whether to organize work, student exchange, learn about other foreign countries and the most important thing is to maintain and strengthen relationships and bonds between people in the small scale and between countries in the larger one. UK is very well-known for being one of the main unique countries that engages different cultures, students, professors, visitors and even tourists from all over the world. When researching about Chevening, I found that this is main aim that Chevening community tends to reach. Also, it focuses on making students acquire and develop this skill, as well as having this as a natural attitude in their professional lives. I came across "Chevening Connect" which seeks for connecting previous alumni with current ones together. Also, building a solid career network that makes cooperation and integration between scholars and alumni which is an essential factor for career plan fulfillment.

Before graduation, aside of university life, I showed the benefit of my networking skill in student activities. When founding the organization SCITA, the first project, named biofans, that was created proved to be successful to contact very well-known speakers to be present in its conferences and workshops. They are department managers, professors, doctors and trainers from VACSERA, SIRA CORP, Zewail City, 57357 hospital, National Cancer Institute and National Research Centre. And from this point, I, with cooperation with SCITA team members, was able to contact them to be available annually for establishing this project for six years so far till present. In addition to this, my extra-curricular had an advantage from my connectivity skills. My hobby is playing piano and I had the unique opportunity to participate in a concert in EL Sawy cultural wheel, that was organized by the piano centre where I learn piano. Not only this made me represent my hobby in a recognized place in Egypt, but also it allowed me to meet renowned musicians and singers in the world of oriental music.

Considering after graduation period, I established a strong and remarkable connection with my university professors, doctors and even teacher assistants in the pharmacy department. I was also able to meet some of representatives of the most famous universities present in the UK. I made good relations with them and had their contacts for admissions, feedback or even surveys answering.

And finally, in relation to my work experiences, I was able to meet individuals with distinguished positions in multinational companies, like Sandoz, Novartis and Abbott, who were assigned to make an audit to my current workplace.

To sum up all of these previous experience in the networking skills, I plan to link between most of the mentioned associations and Chevening connect and alumni. This is represented in contacting other people in the same career and making an international network, where all of the participants can interact together and firmly to make the best success for SCITA and my career goals.

Scholarship / My aim is to make difference in the pharmaceutical industry field. Chevening questions - career plan [6]

Hi there. Here is my answer to the career plan question for chevening. I checked what UK does in my country but unfortunately I didn't find anything relevant. Thanks a lot for your time

Chevening is looking for individuals who have a clear post-study career plan. Please outline your immediate plans ...

My aim is to make difference in the pharmaceutical industry field and initiate a career project in which the recent updates are applied. As far as I am considered, my undergraduate studies in analytical chemistry, pharmaceutics and pharmaceutical chemistry were the very first basis of the desired course of study, and from which my career goals can be achieved as well.

First of all, I seek to be a highly qualified QC analyst or researcher in the multinational corporations or institutions that targets on implementing the know-how of pharmaceutical analysis and researching to develop a perfect dosage form for most of the drug types. They also should give me all required facilities to apply and develop recently learned techniques in my UK master's program to be a value-add to them.

Not only are my career goals represented in developing in the pharmaceutical field, but also spreading the awareness of the importance of scientific research and thinking. I believe that it is important to consolidate the concept of scientific research in the whole of Egyptian society. Therefore, I will mention a part of my activities before graduation which relates to this. I was one of the founders of a scientifically based organization called SCITA. This abbreviation stands for: Science, Creation, Imagination, Technology and Application. From its name it is clear that it has good vision for the future of scientific research in Egypt. So, my second goal is to continue being its scientific consultant or advisor that founds science -based conferences, workshops and seminars in all parts of Egypt to develop innovative and remarkable generation in the field.

My long-term goal is represented in being a consultant pharmacist for all of the well-known pharmaceutical companies. After being thoroughly developed academically and professionally, I will have the opportunity to give advice to newly established foundations and guide them to the right way where they can start making the best technical and scientific improvements and achievements among other ones.

Last but not least, not to forget about UK reputation and accomplishments in the pharmaceutical field. Also, it has many top-ranked medical and pharmaceutical universities among the world. Also, UK has the top twenty five investors in biotechnology R&D and pharmaceuticals like GSK, Pfizer and Novartis which are really distinguished in the field, and very well-known worldwide.
