Writing Feedback / The view of a high payouts received by sports professionals and its perception by the society [NEW]

Successful sports professionals can earn a great deal more money than people in other important professions. Some people think this is fully justified while others think it is unfair.

Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

These days, when sports become the most favorite show for people on media, the number of sports' club get lots of sponsorships from companies. As such, some people believe that earning a great deal more money for successful sports professionals is rational than people in other important professions because many corporations are brave to pay more for sport clubs in order to be able to promote their products. However, others argue that it is unfair as any other important occupations which are more difficult than sports players such doctor. Therefore, I would argue that although being sports professionals is not as hard as other important jobs, this can attract many companies to sponsor clubs.

To begin with, it is irrational if successful sports professionals get a great deal more money from their works than other important jobs because an effort to obtain good skills on sports is not more difficult than others. For instance, to become doctor needs a hard effort and long time since people have to finish their study at least five years in university. Consequently, doctor should earn much more money than professional sports players. It is clear that successful sports players should not get a great deal more salary than doctors.

The predominant factor that successful sports professionals can get a highest salary is companies' sponsorships because of several reasons. First of all, companies are more likely to sponsor sports clubs because millions people in the world enjoy watching sports show, so that it can be an effective advertisement for corporations to promote their products so as to increase sales. Next, companies need successful sports professionals to become brand ambassadors of companies' products because people tend to buy products which their idols use. Not only this, many corporations are brave to spend much money for paying professional sport players to make their brand become more valuable in customers mind.

In addition, for professional sport players, having a great income is rational because their professions need certain skills which all people cannot do it well. Take Cristiano Ronaldo, a football player of Real Madrid club, as an example. He is one of the most successful sports professionals in the world as he plays very well and often brings a victory for his club. As a result, the club gives a great deal of money for his effort in winning the tournament and the glory makes him easier to achieve success than any other players. There is no doubt that successful sports professionals should earn a great deal of money since they already work hard to reach the club goal.

To conclude, although some people think that earning a great deal money is unfair for successful sports professionals, I strongly believe that they can bring the number of benefits for lots of corporations because successful sports professionals can attract many customers to decide buying products, so as that companies get more incomes from sales.

Writing Feedback / The table below gives information about changes in modes of travel in England between 1985 and 2000. [2]

The table below gives information about changes in modes of travel in England between 1985 and 2000.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The table shows changes in mode of travel on average distance in England between 1985 and 2000, and it is measured in miles. Clearly, what stands out from the table is that there was a significant increase of all modes in 2000. Note, almost all figures of transport mode increase in this trend, but only the figure of bicycle decreases at the end of period.

In 1985, whereas the figure of car was the most popular trend in this level which stood at 3,199 miles, the figure of taxi was the lowest level in this year which was only 13 miles. The figures of walking and train had a similar distance at approximately 250 miles. Likewise, the figures of local bus and other had also a similar pattern which was specifically 429 miles (local bus) and 450 miles (other). Also, the figures of bicycle and long distance bus were the fairly low level in this trend.

On the other hand, almost all figures in 2000 had risen in all parts except the figure of bicycle which decreased from 51 miles to 41 miles. While there is a significant increase in the figure of car which was the highest level in this trend, the figure of other was the fairly high one, and then it was followed by the figure of train at 366 miles. The figures of walking and local bus had a similar way at approximately 250 miles which was specifically 274 miles (local bus) and 237 miles (walking), and then the figure of taxi becomes the fairly low level at 42 miles.

Writing Feedback / Should teenagers work or travel for a year between finishing and starting university studies? [2]

In some countries young people are encouraged to work or travel for a year between finishing high school and starting university studies.

Discuss the advantages and disadvantages for young people who decide to do this.

These days, experiences become substantial consideration for some companies to accept employees. As such, in some countries, teenagers are exerted to obtain well experiences with working or traveling over a year between finishing high school and starting studies at university because it is able to make young people easy to find well jobs, but this automatically gets them left behind among their classmates. Therefore, I would argue that even though teenagers lose their time as long as a year, they gain more experiences than others.

Finding well jobs becomes the predominant factor for young people who tend to choose working or traveling before joining university studies due to several reasons. First of all, students have less time when they are studying in university as they have to focus on their subjects. In addition, having good experiences helps teenagers to solve problems when they get obstacles since they can be wise on facing it. Afterwards, obtaining well occupations is a dream for young people because they are more likely to achieve success in their bright future.

On the other hand, working or traveling in the middle of study stages affects young people to be more left behind than other classmates because teenagers spend a year to work or travel while others directly study at colleges. For example, university students who work or travel over a year are still in the first semester when their friends who are straight to continue their studies are in the third semester. As a result, there is a different rate of one year between them. There is no doubt that spending a year for working or traveling can cause young people left behind.

To conclude, although young children loose a year for studying at university, I strongly believe that teenagers obtain well experiences which cannot got by other young people who directly continue university studies.

Writing Feedback / Are both schools and parents responsible for children's unhealthy lifestyle? [NEW]

Many children these days have an unhealthy lifestyle. Both schools and parents are responsible for solving this problem.

To what extent do you agree with this statement?

These days, perfect health in the way of life is a vital aspect in human life. As such, a number of children have unhealthy lifestyle as they cannot handle themselves. For this reason, both schools and parents play an important role to tackle this problem. Therefore, I would argue that although children have bad habits, both schools and parents have a big influence for their behavior.

To begin with, there are several factors that cause children have unhealthy lifestyle. First of all, parents have less awareness to their children as they prefer to spend lots of time in the office. For example, parents prefer giving money to children to buy foods in school canteen than give them home-prepared foods. In addition, children tend to play anywhere they want even though the places are dirty since they do not understand more about the effects. Also, schools do not provide a healthy training and clean environment around the schools.

To tackle this problem, schools have to provide clean environment and hygiene foods at canteen and then make a tight regulation to forbid students to buy foods outside. Take Jakarta international school as an example, there are some fresh fruits and hygiene meals at school canteen and also schools provide many garbage bins in front of every class. As a result, there is no doubt that schools are able to influence children to obtain healthy lifestyle.

In addition, cooking hygiene foods at home is a must for parents so as to children do not eat unhealthy meals because the majority of parents are more likely to have less time together with their children. For instance, some employees in a large industrial city tend to cook fresh vegetables and meats before going to the office. Consequently, children will not eat foods outside and parents do not have to worry about their children. It is clear that parents' influence can alter children's bad habits.

The aforementioned evidence reveals that although children prefer eating unhealthy meals than consuming hygiene foods since they do not understand more about the effects, I strongly believe that both schools and parents play an essential role to solve this problem and children must be taught how to keep healthy lifestyle.

Writing Feedback / Details of the elecricity production on the basis of given diagrams [2]

The diagrams below show the design for a wind turbine and its location.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The first diagram gives information regarding the construction of a wind turbine which consists of four fundamental components, and the second picture describes how the wind turbines work in the optimum locations. Overall, what stands out from the diagrams reveals that for producing electricity, all elements of a wind turbine must be totally operated. In stark contrast to this, the ideal location determines the quantity of energy. The higher the wind turbine is located, the bigger the electricity is produced.

With regard to the process of electricity produced, the way of a wind turbine operating is when the wind blows blades-fiberglass or wood, this automatically gets the blades to rotate. At the same time, the wind sensor will lead speed and direction, and it can be controlled by computer which is placed beside steel tower for adjusting direction and angle from blades. Then, finally the generator is able to produce 1.5 megawatts.

A closer look at the data shows that the tower can be constructed anywhere, on the hill, under the sea, or near domestic turbine. Maximum wind strengths will be obtained if the tower is built on the hill which means that more electricity will be generated. On the other hand, less electricity will be resulted when the tower is located under the sea even this mode does not disturb the landscape. Likewise, if the tower is placed at domestic area, a wind turbine is more likely to gain less wind strength by 100 kilowatts.

Writing Feedback / How often people bought or rented movies between 2002 and 2011 in a particular store [2]

The chart below shows the annual number of rentals and sales (in various formats) of films from a particular store between 2002 and 2011.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The bar chart gives information concerning how many rentals and sales of movies according to a particular shop during nine years from 2002 to 2011. Overall, what stands out from the chart reveals that although the figure of rentals experienced the highest level at the first year, it had decreased gradually from 2003 to onwards. In addition, the sales of three categories saw a stark difference among them over the period.

According to the chart, in 2002, rentals of films stood at 181,000, while sales of VHS and DVD were just under 100,000, and blue-ray sales disappeared. A couple of years now, DVD sales had risen dramatically, and in 2007, it reached a peak at 215,000. However, in the same year, rentals experienced a decrease slowly. Also, whereas VHS sales did not seem, blue-ray sales appeared at around 10,000.

A more detailed look at the data provides that both rentals and DVD sales fell gradually. Apart from this, blue-ray sales increased slowly until the end of period. On the other hand, even though the gap between rentals and blue-ray sales had widened in 2007, the gap between them had narrowed again at the last year.

... number of rentals decreases significantly
... it was a dramatic decrease at the end of period
... experienced a slight decrease of the period
... it was a slight decrease at 60,000 in 2011
... saw a significant decrease over the next period.

Writing Feedback / International market access in order to produce more goods and to generate solid profits for regions [4]

Improvements in health, education and trade are essential for the development of poorer nations. However, the governments of richer nations should take more responsibility for helping the poorer nations in such areas.

To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?

In today's sophisticated society, people of developing countries are still hard to obtain their basic rights such a better healthcare, proper education, and a great source of income. As such, undoubtedly official states of richer countries should share the responsibility of assisting poorer nations. Different measures exist, ranging from global trade access to financial payments or even medical assistance. Therefore, I would argue that certain measures are infinitely better than other methods.

The most efficient manner to assist the less fortunate states is not through a better healthcare or proper education because this method is imperfect and only offers short-lived relief from long-term challenges, and also this assistance can be alleviated at any time, leaving the country drifted. For instance, economical help from the United States to demerit regions in Indonesia has gradually reduced since the onset of the monetary crisis. As a result, there is no doubt that even though several islands may have well educated or health, the merit was temporary, thus leaving the regions of Indonesia to look for other donators.

On the other hand, commerce is the most substantial type of assistance which can be helped since it will improve strong capabilities to serve trade for the long term if the poorer countries have an excellent opportunity to develop it. These strengths are able to increase the growth of the local economy and are more reliable than education or health. For example, while the poorer nations trade with the richer ones, the official states can search for other foreign partners to trade with. Consequently, it is clear that this would offer more stability and diversification for the states.

The aforementioned evidence reveals that although assistance is absolutely necessary for the poorer nations, assisting in education or health is a temporary solution. I strongly believe that the viable solution is to offer international market access in order to produce more goods and to generate regular profits for the regions.

Writing Feedback / Fast food taxation as the method to reduce obesity among people. [3]

In some countries an increasing number of people are suffering from health problems as a result of eating too much fast food. It is therefore necessary for governments to impose a higher tax on this kind of food.

To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?

Nowadays, perfect health is becoming a global issue in the world. As such, in several countries, there is a significant increase in the number of people suffering from health problems since they eat too much fast food. To solve this problem, I would argue that governments play an important role to impose a higher tax on this kind of food, and people should realize the bad effect of consuming much fast food.

The predominant reason of this problem is eating too much unhealthy food because it contains chemicals. For example, people who prefer consuming fast food such fried chicken at McDonalds are more likely to get sick easily in the future which is resulted by chemical influence. As a consequence, there is no doubt that eating much fast food will suffer the number of people.

To tackle this problem, governments should make an extreme policy to impose a higher tax on every restaurant in which provides fast food as it can cause people to consider when they want to buy this kind of food such increasing 50% tax in every kind of fast food. In addition, it is substantial for people to realize the bad effect of consuming more this food. This is because if they understand more about the bad effect, they will automatically alleviate eating unhealthy food.

The aforementioned evidence reveals that although eating too much fast food is the main cause of people suffering from diseases, I strongly believe that governments play an important role to solve this problem with increasing a higher tax, and societies should realize the bad effect of eating a lot of fast food.

Writing Feedback / Good relationships among employees can make a job enjoyable and even more attractive financially [2]

Some people argue that it is more important to have an enjoyable job than to earn a lot of money. Others disagree and think that a good salary leads to a better life.

Discuss both these views and give your own opinion?

Nowadays, in sophisticated society, comfortable is a main factor to choose working. As such, some people believe that having an enjoyable job is more essential than earning a lot of money as they feel satisfied. However, others argue that well paid job leads to achieve a high standard of living. Therefore, I would argue that people will obtain both an enjoyable job and a good salary if they are able to make a good relationship among other workers.

The predominant reason why gaining an enjoyable work is substantial is because it can make a high performance on every worker. For instance, employees who feel convenient are more likely to show better work than others who are not such in shoes' company, workers can produce more shoes than they are in under pressure. As a consequence, there is no doubt that having an enjoyable work is becoming substantial to increase better performance.

On the other hand, earning a high salary is a must for workers. This is because it can make people easy to achieve a better life. For example, people who work in a high company tend to gain well paid job. As a result, they are able to meet all of their needs, and to be deliriously happy. Consequently, it is clear that obtaining well paid job can lead people to achieve a high standard of living.

The aforementioned evidence reveals that even though getting an enjoyable job is substantial for employees, earning a high salary is able to make people to achieve a better life, and I strongly believe that workers can obtain both of them if they want to make a good relationship among other workers who cause convenience.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The table provides a breakdown of the number of students living in the UK obtaining teacher training qualifications between 2005/6 and 2006/7, and the percentage of male qualifiers. Overall, what stands out from the table reveals that the proportion of female qualifiers was higher than male. In addition, PGCE was more favorite on both sexes than Bed & other degrees.

According to the table, in 2005/6, there was a significant different proportion between man and woman on gaining teacher training qualifications. In this year, the total proportion of both male and female was 31,930. Female was the highest at 23,865, whereas male only had 25.3% of total percentage which was 8,065.

A more detailed look at the data reveals that the gap between man and woman had widened in obtaining teacher training qualifications in 2006/7. Male fell from 6,980 (2005/6) to 6,485 (2006/7) in PGCE, likewise there was a gradual decrease to 17,415 on female at the same subject. On the other hand, both sexes experienced a slight increase in Bed & other degrees.

Writing Feedback / Colour is a powerful tool that is used to great effect by manufacturers and retail companies. [2]

Colour is a powerful tool that is used to great effect by manufacturers and retail companies when they try to sell something. In fact, many of the purchasing decisions we make are partly or largely influenced influenced by colour.

How true is this statement? How much does colour influence us when we buy something?

It is believed that colour is an effective way to attract the number of customers. As such, for manufactures and retail companies, colour is able to affect a great deal of customers' influence on deciding to buy their products. Actually, a strong decision we make to purchase goods is considerably influenced by colour. Therefore, I would argue that colour is a powerful component of advertisement for some corporations when they try to sell their products.

As a matter of fact, companies are more likely to design a colourful advertisement as they argue that this will obtain more public attention. A manufacture of Mizone in Indonesia as an example, there is a strong possibility that making a bright and colourful promotion enables customers to be more interested in it. As a consequence, despite its advertisement, million customers decide to purchase it. It is inevitable that colour has a great power to attract most consumers.

Interestingly, for some people, colour totally influences them to make a decision when they buy some products since it can increase confidence. For instance, teenagers who wear the bright and colourful clothes feel more confident than the dark ones. This results that the number of young people is completely choosing products to depend on colour. In consequence, there is no doubt that colour plays a substantial influence on customers' decision.

As far as I concerned, there is a closer relationship between colour and decision to buy products. This means that companies should create a colourful advertisement to attract most customers in terms of selling their products.

Writing Feedback / Question: some people think that it is best for extended families to live together [2]

Although I was raisedgrown up in an extended family I know the advantages and disadvantages of extended family , where we can learn a lot from each other and help each other on daily activities. InOn the other hand, I have studied about nuclear family based on experience and studies that I have, today I choose nuclear family as a beneficial family based on the below reasons.

- use collocations to avoid repetition words (the red one)

The leader of family can easily manage the family members and enjoys from having such a family which respects and follows the rules that he establishes for prosperous future of members. For instance, in an extended family, a child requests his father to buy him a modern bicycle because his cousin ge ts one, his father is poor and cannot effort that. But in nuclear family it's not like that, the child does not request for something like this because he got no cousin to be jealous with, so he follows the rules that the leader thoughthas madehim.

Writing Feedback / The continued rise in the world's population is the greatest problem faced by humanity. [2]

The continued rise in the world's population is the greatest problem faced by humanity at the present time.

What are the causes of this continued rise?

Do you agree that it is the greatest problem faced by humanity?

These days, overpopulation is becoming a serious problem around the world. As such, humanity has to face the continued growth up to the world's population as it can add the number of problems to meet their daily needs which are limited. Therefore, I would argue that this phenomenon is caused by people's unawareness that the earth has limited resources to fulfill their needs, and this is a serious problem settled by humanity.

The predominant factor of overpopulation in the world is that most people unaware about the effect of this problem because if they understand that it can bring the greatest problem of their daily needs, they will be more careful. For example, people are more to safe using condom when they make a love, so that this can avoid bearing many children. As a consequence, there is no doubt that the continued rise in the world's population is a serious problem which humanity must face.

On the other hand, inhabitants should settle this problem since they have made this problem happened. Take Indonesia as an example, Indonesian society has successfully faced this problem in 1990, in which they limit having to two children for every family. As a result, if Indonesian people cannot face this problem, they will get a great problem. Consequently, it is clear that overpopulation is a serious problem that people have to settle.

The aforementioned evidence reveals that as overpopulation is caused by humanity, I strongly believe that the greatest problem of the continued rise in the world's population becomes inhabitants' responsibility, and they must face it.

Writing Feedback / Now students have opportunities to enroll a foreign universities - enter into global competition [2]

In the past, when students did a university degree, they tended to study in their origin country.

Nowadays, they have more opportunity to study abroad.
What are the advantages and disadvantages of this development?

Getting to university is a dream of all students. As such, in the past, students were more likely to study in their own nation since this made them easy to achieve a high score. Yet, these days, they have a great opportunity to enroll foreign university as it can bring them into global competition. Therefore, I would argue that both studying in their own country and abroad have the number of merits and demerits.

As a matter of fact, studying in their original country is easy for students because they must not adapt with new situation. For example, students who study in their own country tend to be easy to be the winner in some local competitions held in their university. Because of this, students in the past chose to study in their own nation. On the other hand, studying in foreign country carries out students to obtain additional abilities. For instance, students who study in UK will be able to speak English well. As a result, there is no doubt that studying abroad creates a high value of students.

Having said that, studying in their own country leads students not to get global competition as their competitors come only from the local areas. For example, students cannot obtain international awards throughout global competition. However, most international students have to face shock culture since they are living in new area. For instance, students need at least one semester to adapt with new culture which causes students to gain achievement slowly.

The aforementioned evidence reveals that although studying in country origin brings students to get a local competition easily, they do not have international experience. Likewise, they have to face shock culture in long time to adapt with new situation.

Writing Feedback / The two diagrams provide a breakdown of producing frozen fish pies [3]

The diagrams below give information about the manufacture of frozen fish pies.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The two diagrams provide a breakdown of manufacturing frozen fish pies. Overall, what stands out from the diagrams reveals that microwaveable container contains four mixed ingredients. In addition, there are two different ways of fish pie production line before mixing in potato.

According to the first diagram, producing a fish pie needs four important materials. Microwaveable container contains these materials into different place. While potato is placed on the top, both fish and peas are more likely to have different place that is sometimes in the middle and in the bottom. Likewise, sauce tends to fill all empty spaces.

A more detailed look at the data describes that fish pie production line can be done in two ways. First of all, raw potatoes are delivered by car around a month. Afterwards, these potatoes are cleaned then pealing in waste disposal. The next step is that after potatoes have been peeled, these potatoes are sliced, and then boiling into pan. Adding chill and storing them are done before mixing into potato. The second way is after delivering for 12 hours or less, fresh salmon is mixed by lemon juice and salt with aim of preventing bad smell. Steaming into the oven is the next step. After that, removing skin and bones is done by employees then throwing them into waste disposal. Inspecting and prepared peas and sauces are done before mixing with potato. Then wrapping, and packaging in freeze into store/dispatch.
