Writing Feedback / Some people believe that traveling alone is the best way to experience a country or a culture. [4]

On the one hand, it is seemingly understandable why people subscribe to the view that traveling alone is the best way to experience a country or a culture.

Maybe you can give more examples and less long statement as above.
On the one hand, travelling alone means you have no one to talk to while sightseeing, therefore, you can focus on the sight itself. On the other hand, without having partners sharing views immediately, travellers may be bored and even scared by unfamiliar places.

Writing Feedback / Essay - The ownership of car should be restricted to one per family / climate change [5]

Your sentences are a bit short and end pretty abruptly which makes readers difficult to follow your statement.
I think in the beginning sentence of an essay, you could use words like 'thus/therefore/in addition' later, otherwise it will make the article hard to understand.

Thus, many experts ... While, Some people ...

You misused the linking words here, apart from the usage of "while". it's like you translate it from Chinese or something literally so that it may make sense in your native language but it looks weird in English.

Writing Feedback / People working in creative arts should be financially supported by government. What is your view? [4]

As Holt said, you need to rephrase the topic in your own words and discuss it accordingly.
You can develop some sort of templates if you don't know how to discuss the topics which you may be less familiar with.
Topic sentences are vital in terms of short essays, IELTS writing task 2 especially, and this one is practically easy since it asks you to offer pros and cons of the topic issue.(So the paragraphs should be divided like Holt said)

Writing Feedback / Rising of fuel costs to reduce the number of transportation and environmental pollution [8]

I think maybe you can also rephrase your sentences a little bit so that readers can focus on your points quickly.
I would change some of your sentence structure from S+V to Ving+V or It has been...

A rising of fuel costs to reduce ...

It has been frequently discussed that a rising of fuel costs can have a positive impact on reducing the problems of traffic congestion and environmental pollution.

Reducing traffic congestion and the following problems such as pollution can be perfectly solved by simply raising the fuel costs.

Graduate / Master degree and design abilities - correction of grammatical errors [3]

Hello, I really need you guys' help in terms of grammar in this essay. Thanks!

I am Joan from Taipei County. Whereas I am diligent and aspiring, I am also very easily to blend in with. Focusing on practical things, I consider myself being excel at analysing. My father has retired from air force, and now working as an advisor. My mother teaches in a Junior high school. Also I have got a younger brother who is still studying at a high school. Harmony is the very word to describe my family.

I have been learning painting since I was a junior high student. Although at high school with heavy workloads, I have never stopped improving my drawing skills. Because of my passion for arts, I have decided to apply for design, and luckily being accepted by industrial design department of xxx University as the second place.

At the first year, in order to catch up with other classmates, I have been focused on every lesson I have attended, and also spent a great amount of time practising hand drawing as well as making models.

At the sophomore year, I chose transport design as my major which to me was a completely new area. In this course, I have learnt not only how to design vehicles, but also the basic knowledge of its inner structure, 3D model making and advanced sketching skills. With all English-taught lessons, my English skills have improved considerably. In this year, I have also been in charge of handling any problems related to students' life and assignments, which really improved my communicating and problem-solving skills.

During my third year of college, I changed to study product design given the marketing condition in Taiwan. This course was designed and more excitingly, taught by many successful designers to help students (in groups) learn the ideas of current products as well as the procedure of discussion. During this year, I have learnt how to communicate with other people and express my ideas more effectively. Moreover, by giving presentations, I have also improved my speaking skills and finally overcome having cold feet in front of many people. Me and my classmates have also teamed to participate lots of competitions, such as IF concept design award and many other held by governments.

In addition, I have joined many volunteer activities held by school, like helping elementary schools and local communities in stage design, costume making and cleaning local parks.

Currently as a fourth-year student, I am working a project with my classmates in terms of improving household electronics, aiming to meet market's needs. The project, which I am the one who mainly write research summaries, is expected to be on display in Young Designer Exhibition in May 2016. My task in the group is not simply filtering myriad information, but also getting used to the working method master students take. Scrutinising and analysing are two vital elements I have learnt that enable products to reach the perfection.

In conclusion, the reason I applied for a master degree is to sharpen my design abilities due to the fact that I have realised the lectures taught in college were rather basic.

Writing Feedback / As the delegate of Poland, and to share the idea about Euro crisis [2]

In the essay below, I should answer the four question in it.
Questions A Resolution Must Answer
1. Ever since the sovereign-debt crisis, the problem of high-debt level in many European
countries had surfaced. What is the long-term goal and method for the European Union
to solve this problem?
2. Are current law systems and contracts in Europe suitable for further economic
integration? If not, what would be the main differences and concerns of creating new
ones?
3. What roles do observer states and non-European countries play in further economic
integration? Should any regulations be placed on them?
4. The economic conditions are not fairly the same between western and eastern
European countries. How should we take this into consideration and integrate both into a larger common market in the future?

Essay

Committee: European Union (EU)
Topic: The economic problem of EU
Country: Republic of Poland
Delegate: Echo Lin
Date: June 2012

Introduction
The Republic of Poland is known as her enriched historic background and diverse culture, and also the potential of economy in the EU. After the period that had been controlled under Soviet Union, Poland really find her own way to use the dominance in culture and industry, and earn the very great saving in the world.

As one of the member in EU, we may not be the spot of Europe, yet will still the very important country in nowadays.

The Republic of Poland Situation
The fiscal problem in Poland is not as serious as Spain or Greece; Poland is recognized as a regional economic power within Central Europe, possessing nearly 40 percent of the 500 biggest companies in the region (by revenues). We were the only member of the EU to avoid the recession of the late 2000s, a testament to the Polish economy's stability.

Yet even in Poland growth is slowing. According to the report from Economist, "the euro crisis has hit exports, two-thirds of which go to the euro zone. A weakening euro does not help. Poland's unemployment is about 13%, around a five-year high." The integration of economic is the concept of EU, once one of the countries' financial has getting trouble, the other members' internal economy will be influenced as well.

Republic of Poland's views
Owning to the weakening financial problem in Spain and Greece, we had declare that Poland will still try to enter the Euro zone, however, we will observe carefully about the new policy toward Euro crisis.

Frankly speaking, Poland's exports will be influenced by the countries which are suffering the financial crisis; hence, the long-term goal for EU to solve the problem is to establish the effective institution which can independently deal with Euro zone countries' financial quarrel; and it is necessarily to revive the Lisbon Treaty, in order to control and strength the fiscal management and the application of using Euro.

In our opinion, the current law systems and contracts in Europe are quietly sufficient for further economic integration; it may not be so rapid for Euro zone countries to recover from economic recession, however, the integration and the revision of many contracts about Euro will help Euro zone countries and even non-European countries recover from this economic crisis.

Conclusion
The roles that Poland and non-European countries play in further economic integration is as important as Germany or any other inner six; for the economy will just like the butterfly effect.

As for the economic conditions between western and eastern European countries, which is also the problem in EU; we suggest that urging the weakening side, and provide some helping program.

Poland is not the member of Euro zone, yet our economic policy will change and adjust as well as the Euro zone countries does; Poland is not suffering from high-debt crisis, yet the country like Greece or other members of PIIGS's economic recession will impact on Poland's exports and imports.

Hence, the Euro crisis is not just the problem of Euro zone members should tackle, because it will spread to other countries around the world.

Thanks a lot!!

Undergraduate / 'the arts began when I learned how to paint' - Rutgers University [4]

This is the essay that I wrote for the personal experience and about my self.

My passion for the arts began when I learned how to paint at the age of five. I feel very fortunate that my family has always believed that the arts should play an important role in raising a child. They have supported me not only financially but also in my decisions regarding my education and future career. Because of their support, I have had the chance to explore the fields I am interested in and have gained access to enormous resources related to the arts.

With my parents' support, I decided to attend art school at age thirteen so that I could improve my painting skills and knowledge of the arts. While at art school, I entered numerous painting competitions, such as those sponsored by the local government, and won many prizes. Because of my diligence and artistic achievements, I was selected as the leading designer of our graduation art exhibition in middle school.

In middle school, I decided to study drama due to my love of movies. Compared to film production, which is also related to drama, I must admit that I love theater design more. I am fascinated by how the atmosphere created in the theater brings a story to life through the power of design, language, emotion, and energy. During eighth grade, I participated in the design of a play, Turandot, and even played one of the roles. To my delight, we won second place in a local English play competition! From this experience, I was keen on working with others to bring a theatrical production to life and deeply enamored by the magical power of theater. I have also been tremendously influenced by the simple, but meaningful, stage design of Chinese operas and the breathtaking performances of Cloud Gate Dance Theatre of Taiwan, a renowned dance company. Although I have seen Moon Water by Cloud Gate many times, I can always find a new layer of meaning whenever I watch the play. I am especially impressed by the way in which the cultural elements of the East and West are infused in this play.

My love of the arts also extends to music, particularly classical music. I most revered Debussy because of his music speaks. As I listen to it, an image of a conceited and impeccable emperor (as acted by Yul Brynner in the drama, The King and I) emerges in my mind. I have come to realize that music is essential to the elements of theater, just as the stage design represents the spirit of the play.

Although I later chose to attend general high school in preparation for taking the college entrance exam, the arts were never far my mind. Simply put, I could not live without the arts. Despite having a busy schedule in high school, I managed to squeeze in time to read books about painting and to visit galleries. I am truly inspired by the works of great artists, such as those of Paul Gauguin, one of the most influential artists in post-impressionism. The moment I saw his vigorous painting style, my breath was taken away. How powerful his painting is! This is exactly what I dream of pursuing-a career where I can combine beauty and strength in art. Based on my experience and interest in the arts, I believe that I have found a career where I can make my dream come true-a career in a classical theater design.

In addition to pursuing my passion for the arts, I have tried to become a well-rounded person by participating in various activities, such as swimming, by developing my reading and writing skills, and by volunteering in the community. I have found that reading extensively has broadened my horizons and that keeping a journal has sharpened my writing skills. I applied these writing skills in my position as the editor of my high school newspaper for two years. I am also committed to doing community service. I have been volunteering at the local library every weekend, and have served as the bulletin board designer at my high school's library for two years. Helping others has helped me build my self-confidence.

Because of the lack of resources in my home country, and my desire to improve my English, I have decided to study in the United States. Rutgers University is my top choice, because your college offers enormous studies of professional programs, and has many resources with great assistance for international students. Longing to strengthen my production design ability, I'm particularly interested in theater design. And Professor Vickie Esposito's expertise in costume design will assist my study on variety field. Only Rutgers University offers the program that perfectly suits my personal needs and professional goals. Learning at this superb academic institution and interacting with students from diverse backgrounds will undoubtedly fulfill my future goal. Hence, if I have the opportunity to enter your college, I sure will keep trying my limits.

I hope someday that I will be able to make a contribution to my country and make a difference in the arts. Your consideration is much appreciated.
