Undergraduate / UMich Setback: Freshman year grades [4]

pprajoth,

You started a new thread on the same subject (you should have continued in the original subject).

Pending suspension.

Undergraduate / DICKINSON C SUPPLEMENT (SCIENCES& ARTS) [11]

And it is now GONE...

If you read the instructions below the post form you will notice why it was gone. Not following the rules may also lead to suspension.

Faq, Help / Why is my topic / thread deleted? [78]

Two possible reasons:

1. You failed to follow or to understand these rules: essayforum.com/subject.html.

2. Your essay has already been posted elsewhere and you just copy-pasted the essay here. We don't allow that.

Faq, Help / Why are some people getting suspended? [45]

It's simple - we take the rules outlined below the post form SERIOUSLY. Otherwise, the forum would become a mess in a few days or less.

- The most common reason why someone could be suspended is that they provided meaningless answers in other students' threads. For example: "Nice essay!", "Good work, I like it!", etc.

- Another reason - they didn't follow the thread title rules: essayforum.com/subject.html.
- The last most common reason - they copy-pasted text that has already been published elsewhere.

EssayForum.com is not yet another Facebook, MySpace, or Bebo. If you come here, you can expect free and professional help, but also don't be surprised you will be suspended if you don't follow these simple rules.

You were suspended for not following the rules. You will be suspended again if you miss one of the rules again.

Faq, Help / New Innovations in EF Intriguing? [12]

So instead of making this a meaningless post, here's my message:

Please send your bio via the contact form as suggested by Jeannie ;).

Faq, Help / New Innovations in EF Intriguing? [12]

need to open the EssayForum.com picture to see the things on the side..

What picture and what side?

and logout is through the profile page.-could that button be moved to an easier to find location?

This is to prevent users to create new usernames when they forget their password or username (and that happens more than often)..

Faq, Help / Is it safe to post my essay here? Or should I be worried about Plagiarism? [175]

now i found another essay with practically EXACT same thing as my into i wrote. this essay isn't mine and was written over a year ago

You probably answered your own question. One student wrote an essay a year ago and you wrote your essay a few days ago. Who was the original author then?

Not reading and/or understanding the rules was the reason. The rules are below the post forms and here: essayforum.com/disclaimer-privacy-tos/

It should be posted under Undergraduate Admissions (the one you mentioned was moved there too, thanks).

Faq, Help / Why is my topic / thread deleted? [78]

"FSU admission essay" is a meaningless and useless title for the reader. It also shows the writer has vague idea about his/her own work. Imagine you have 1,000 posters and each titles their thread about the same; how would you determine the CONTENT of the essay? That's why you need to carefully study essayforum.com/subject.html if you don't want your thread to be removed without notice.

"My threads" is still in beta mode; you may use "My favorites" instead to track threads you replied in.

Essays / Thesis statements on global warming? [26]

The only problem I see is that you assume global warming is/was caused by human activity. 35 years ago the world 'thought' there was Global Cooling. You may want to do more research and ask yourself what/who will benefit from the global warming hysteria: denisdutton.com/cooling_world.htm

Faq, Help / Is it safe to post my essay here? Or should I be worried about Plagiarism? [175]

So I was wondering if there was ANY way to only show my essay to regular users and moderators.

You could become an EF Contributor and then post your question in the private section accessible only by other contributors and moderators :). But to become a contributor you need to first help others and show your good writing and thinking skills :

If you don't want your NAME to appear on Google, you may change it in your profile.

Faq, Help / Access denied and password change question [16]

One of the three reasons:

1. You or someone else published the same essay on another website (we don't allow essays posted elsewhere to be posted here again). And we do check each and every essay posted.

2. You posted useless message/s in other students' threads in order to post a new thread.

3. You failed to follow the topic title rules: Good Topic Subjects.

Is it possible to remove this suspension?

What is the username?

Faq, Help / Access denied and password change question [16]

There must be something wrong with your browser or computer. I changed your password and logged in as you without problems (now you'll have to recover password to login again).

Faq, Help / Is it safe to post my essay here? Or should I be worried about Plagiarism? [175]

It depends what you mean by 'trustworthy.' You may check the thousands of posts here and make your own conclusion ;).

also it says that you need 1 credit to permanently delete a thread...is it also deleted from a google search too?

Yes, once a thread is removed it will also be removed from Google search (not usually immediately but within several days or so).
