Writing Feedback / (IELTS essay) An ambition is positive or negative? [2]

Is ambition is a positive or negative characteristic? Is it necessary for success?

In many situations, an ambition is highly regarded. An ambition can show right path, help to work hard and achieve the dream. Although ambition has a dark side, I believe, within the limit, ambition is a driving force towards success.

To begin with, anything, which is in excess, is good for nothing. It is applicable to ambition also. Ambition is often associated with negative characteristics such as greed, intolerance, power and so on. To become a wealthy man within a short time, force people to resort unfair means to heap wealth. It is also linked with ruthlessness. An honest man cannot leave a blind eye on corruption, which otherwise provide him a huge sum of money as bribe. Additionally, it can block out human feelings such as friendship, compassion, respect for others, and may leave them solitary. For instance, people who wants power and money at any cost; neglect the needs of their friends, the reward will be often loneliness.

However, there are so many benefits of having a prompt ambition. Firstly, being ambitious means, understanding that we have abilities and we can become better. Proper plans help us to make out paths for success in our personal, family, or professional lives. For instance, an ambition of becoming a Doctor, make people to realize the skills need for it and work hard to fulfill it. Secondly, it teaches resilience. When problems arise, ambitious people find a way to overcome it. Thirdly, being ambitious make us adaptable and tolerant. To brake a record, one should word hard even in the bad climate. Lastly, a goal in good sense does not have to mean a solidarity end. It can be a vision for a city, the elimination of a disease, or the improvement of a community.

In short, ambition is often portrayed negatively. Without ambition, our lives become mechanical and meaningless. We need to create ambitions, and enjoy the better present and future. At the same time, we should not be over ambitious.

Writing Feedback / ( IELTS essay) Who is more influential in children: Parents or Classmates [3]

Do you agree with the following statement? Classmates are more important influence than parents on child's future..?

In this ever-changing fast world, children get effected by both classmates and their parents. It is a debatable topic, whether classmates or parents are more powerful in childrens' lives. However, I feel, they are more influenced by their classmates.

To begin with, nowadays, parents are not spending enough time with their children because of their busy life schedule. Young children are spending quantity time with their friends than parents, and are more involved with them, so the influence of friends on them are very strong. Students usually spend their time in school, part-time jobs, studies, plays and just having fun with friends. These activities take more time to interact more with their friends. For instance, when I was in the school I used to share my ideas and experiences with my classmates, who are in the same age with different experiences.

Secondly, young adults are in a transient stage of personality. In that age, they are trying to imitate others. They want to catch the eye of others and blindly follow whoever succeeded and got attraction from others. Parents restrict them from some activities for their bright future or to avoid facing dangers in life while, classmates support them in all. Besides, they try to live independently and these young adults neglect parents' opinions and accept the opinion of their friends. Moreover, children are choosing their own friends but cannot select their parents, and forced to accept them.

In conclusion, children are spending quantity time with their friends and feel that, classmates are more attached to them. As a result, I believe, children get affected from their friends more than their parents get.

Writing Feedback / Graph: Water cycle - the continuous movement of water on, above and below (IELTS) [3]

The diagram below shows the water cycle, which is the continuous movement of water on, above and below the surface of the Earth.

The given arrow diagram describes the water cycle above and below the earth.

The chart illustrate the water cycle as a continuous process in three stages such as evaporation of water from the sea, rain fall, and back flow of water to the sea.

In the first stage, due to the heat from the sunrays sea water evaporates which contributes 80% the total water vapor in the air, eventually forming clouds, containing water vapor.

This water results in rain fall, water vapors formed as water drops fall in the earth surface. It is stored in the lakes, form snow and the third part flow back to the sea.

In the third step, the surface water after a rainfall go deep into the earth and became ground water. It moves to the impervious layer. The water penetrate from the surface of the earth also came to the impervious layer. This water finally fall in to the sea and the process continuous.

In short, the water cycle is a continuous process which helps to maintain the needs of water in the earth.

Writing Feedback / (IELTS essay) violent t.v reports to be banned? [4]

Television news shows many scenes of disasters and violence. What effect can this have on individuals and society? Is it necessary to ban reports including violence and disastrous scenes?

Television as a strong audio-visual media has a powerful impact both positive and negative on its viewers. Some people like to see a ban on these violent news broadcasts, while others consider it as a normal part of reporting news. However, I feel instead of banning, some regulations should be implemented for news broadcasts.

Younger generation love to watch violence and they find it thrilling. The teenagers, as less psychologically mature, watch them with interest, get influenced, tend to imitate these scenes and pick up flights in public places. Most importantly, media offers opportunities for potential criminals to be more skillful and dangerous. Those novices obtain essential information for committing crime without any loopholes, from these reports. These tricks enable them to operate the crime brilliantly, escape from being captured and penalized. Additionally, low enforcement has to put more effort to deal with these offenders.

Undeniably, news channels are usually reporting the real life incidents. It is true that, uncensored clippings related to calamities and terrorism has horrific effect on the viewers. Stress and hypertension are common while watching these types of reports. Besides, it makes a feeling of insecurity. Parents may impose restriction on their children and keep a strict vigil on them results in quarrel and misunderstandings among family members and friends. However, with stringent broadcasting law and censorships these adverse impacts can be reduced to an extent.

One the other hand, it has some positive effects also. These telecasts help us to know about the real depth of a these calamities or violence. 'As seeing is believing,' live pictures convey information in the way words cannot. Helping hands in the form of money, medicine and so on, help victims to relieve their sufferings to an extent. Furthermore, we become more conscious about our own security risks and implement more protection to our family members. It is an issue of freedom too. People have full right to know what is happening around as. Freedom of press is an inevitable part of a democratic government.

To conclude, there are both positive and negative impacts of media on people and society. It is unfavorable to impose ban on these reports but same regulations needed. We need to be stay informed. Along with censorship and strict broadcast laws, the viewers should decide what they want to see, instead of imposing ban on reports.

Writing Feedback / ( IELTS essay) Mobile phones for children good or bad? [3]

Many children these days have their own mobile phones. What are advantages and disadvantages? Give your own opinion.

In this high-tech fast world, undeniably, mobile phones became an inevitable part of everybody's life without any age limit. Although, it has lots of merits, in my point of view, the intense use of mobile phones among children may be discouraged because of its adverse impacts on them.

To begin with, mobile phones have numerous benefits. Presently, it is not merely a simple device, which allows an easy connectivity between people. It is supporting a number of other programs such as calculators, alarm clocks, voice recorder and so on. these programs boost their academic performances, if they use it cleverly. For instance, alarm clocks in mobile phones are useful for them to woke up early in the morning or adjust the time duration to write an essay. The easy accessibility of parents and friends make them comfortable and enable them to meet any emergency or unexpected conditions. Parents also will be much relaxed, as they know their children are safe.

On the other hand, these wonderful devices have negative sides also. Most importantly, the radiations from these devices are harmful for their developing brains. Researches proved that, these radiations might lead to cancers. The destruction of studies is another matter of concern. The games in the mobile phones create additions to children. Chatting and telephonic conversations with anonymous people may result in insurmountable impacts to their young minds. These contacts may indulge them in bad company and mafia especially drug and sex, spoil their future. Furthermore, easy connectivity to internet attracts them to unhealthy web sites and their total character may change. Additionally, children can effortlessly cheat their parents by convincing a false. To illustrate, if they are enjoying a television program at his friends home, they can make to believe their parents that they are on the way to their tuition class.

To conclude, mobile phones are beneficial devices, if we use it sensibly. Children, as they are not mature to handle it effectively, it may leave drastic disadvantages on them. Hence, I believe that mobile phones are not favorable for children, especially if it is used uncontrolled without proper guidance and time limit.

Writing Feedback / ( IELTS essay)Difficult hobbies are more enjoyable? [3]

Some people believe that hobbies need to be difficult to be enjoyable. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

People are different and their perceptions of life are diverse. Some people think that difficult hobbies are more enjoyable than easy hobbies, but others oppose. In my opinion both easy and difficult hobbies are equally have fun and excitements.

Hobbies are activities chosen by people to fill their leisure time without expecting monitory benefits. Thus, the ultimate aim of hobbies is enjoyment and relaxation. People can select different hobbies according to their available free time, nature of daily work and interest. Some people find enjoyment in easy hobbies like reading. After a full day's hard work, it gives them physical relaxation. Besides reading books can help them to create their own world with different characters of the book and provide greater pleasure in imagination. Though it is an easy hobby, nobody can deny it by saying that it is not enjoyable as it is an easy hobby.

Apparently, difficult hobbies like bike stunting and baggy jumping give enjoyment to the people who follow it. These hobbies offer them an opportunity to show their bravery, and improve their mental power to face and confront dangers and difficulties. Furthermore, this gives a chance to burst out the tensions of spectators too. As it is a hard task, it needs constant hard work to achieve the goal. Nevertheless, dedication, constant long hard work and practice let them to be prefect in their hobbies. Additionally, these people may not always get the same level of enjoyment. The greater the performance, the higher the satisfaction will be.

To conclude, it not the name or difficulty of a hobby make it enjoyable, but the attitude and interest of the people towards it. After analyzing both sides, I feel that both easy and difficult hobbies are equally entertaining according to the perception of the people those who select it.

Writing Feedback / (IELTS essay) Dangerous sports banned or not; Children put themselves in trouble [3]

Should dangerous sports such as boxing or motor racing be banned?

Millions of people play sports every day and inevitably injured or even dead. Most players and spectators accept this risk. However, some people like to see dangerous sports such as boxing banned. In this essay, I will discuss why I support dangerous sports.

The biggest reason for objecting to extreme sports is that they can be very dangerous and even sometimes life threatening. More than that, the sports people along with the spectators are in danger. For instance, a formula one car crashes, the driver undoubtedly injured and it is possible that the people in the crowd will be too. Furthermore, sports are for relaxation and enjoyment and for injuries and sufferings. Children imitate them and put themselves in trouble.

On the other hand, sports and games seem to be natural to humans. There are no sports without danger. People can learn their limits and strengths through playing with others, they also learn acceptable social behaviors, and respect the right of others. Sports encourage spirit of healthy competition. Sports are there for, not just a physical phenomenon, but also, a social one. Besides, there is an issue of freedom. Without a wide a range of sports, many people would feel trapped or limited.

People should be free to participate in activities with others as long as it does not affect the safety of non-participants. Moreover, some sports act as a safety value for the society by reducing stress. Everybody accept the need of regulations. Medical bodies are introduced safety rules for all hazardous sports. Players are welcome these protective measures. If people are following these regulation, we can avoid dangers to an extent and enjoy these sports.

In conclusion, our society would be healthier, if more people took part in sports of all kinds. We should continue to try to prevent accidents and injuries. However, we should also ensure that sports are exciting and above all, it gives fun.
