Indonesia is one of ring of fire areas. In these areas seismic earthquake happens more frequently than other parts in the world. Consequently, the more damage occurs in these areas. In developing country, like Indonesia, awareness in perventing and reducing the risk of earthquake are still far away from enough. Although there are some research that are improved to explore the analyses and prevention from earthquake, the low income of families in this country forces them to face this natural disaster without standard prevention. This causes millions people dead and billion rupiahs lost. This condition needs an effective solution. The solution that is offered in this research is Portland cement replacement with used brick. Recent Portland cement that is used in most housing in Indonesia is not appropriate for housing construction and expensive. The strength of Portland cement is higher than brick, this will cause the bricks shrink then forces those to restraint. This will increase the number of cracks on the wall so that the house will not able to withstand seismic waves. In this research recycling used brick to be cement is to produce cement that has lower price and save for housing construction.
